There’s a real lack of quality in the squad, but they should still be performing better than this. Doesn’t matter how good you are, you should at least be able to move into space a bit, and press the Preston defence back. We’re doing neither of that. We just seem to be happy to watch Preston pass it out, whilst they relentlessly push us into errors. Just a bit of bloody energy would help, I’ve seen more movement from my 80 year old nan. It can’t be that hard to get the basics right, simple passes, holding onto the ball under any sort of challenge. Been absolutely shocking against a second rate Preston side.
