Interesting scenes at Old Trafford. Dea Gea goes down injured, ref didn't blow, Smith Rowe buried it to make it 1-0.

United players not happy but what's a ref to do if he hasn't blown the whistle?

Arsenal haven't given them one back to be sporting. Nor should they really.

United fans around me said Fred did a perfect block….. he’s apparently useless!

If you stop the game for that, then goalkeepers could just go down all the time and clutch their ankle as soon as their defenders have lost possession.

He’s a big boy, suck it up until the ball is safely in your hands. Play to the whistle, and only if it’s a head injury or a foul does the ref blow his whistle.

Was listening to the game on 5Live and Rob Green was the summariser, my god, talk about goalkeepers union, it was embarrassing. Goalkeepers get far too much protection as it is.

Disallowed goal for Villa is a joke. This incident highlights the sanitised direction modern-day football has gone - pathetic!

I can't see how one hand/fingers on the ball can be 'under control'. That idiot Merson in the studio comparing it to scoring a try (downward pressure) in rugby is just a joke.
