9 games in has anyone surprised you so far? Just looking at the table this morning, couple of things stood out.

Ipswich are yet to win a game and struggling for goals, just the 6 so far level with Rotherham.

Pulis has made Middlesbrough's defence rock solid, conceded just 3 goals so far and those came in just the 2 games on the road v Millwall and Norwich.

Birmingham have lost just 2 games, unbeaten in the last 5 but sat in 17th, 3 points above the bottom 3. Specialists of the draw.

If Fulham and Wolves were in this year’s Championship they’d absolutely cruise it.

I tipped Boro to win the league and I think they will shithouse their way to it. Not many will get points or even goals at the Riverside this season.

Preston have been a big surprise. Wigan too I guess if they can keep it up.

Could be one of the lowest points tallies for auto promotion this season.

Doubt it will drop below the 79 Hull got in 12/13 (with a +9 goal difference to boot)

And just to put that into perspective our, often claimed, terrible season in 14/15 would have been fighting for 2nd going into the last game of the season.

I thought Swansea under Potter would be top 6 throughout the season. Not seen them yet so no idea why midtable...

Ipswich, well, im not a fan of Irish Mick by any stretch but I wonder how their fans feel right now. Its looking like a struggle for them.

Leeds...meh...they got us on an early, not sorted yet, kind of day... Im having them finish out of the top 6.

Well done big Daz and the Baggies. I think they will be ok.

From before the season started, I didn't think there would be a runaway side. None of the three who've come down worried me too much. I thought WBA would be the highest of the three, although I thought they would challenge play-offs at best.

I'm surprised that after watching Leeds in the first couple games of the season that they're not further ahead - even more surprised to hear that they had more points at the same stage last season. I'm surprised at Rotherham who I was sure would be whipping boys yet again, but they look capable of putting up a really good fight. I'm also really surprised about Millwall. The defeat there was frustrating but I sort of wrote that off as an oh well, Millwall is a really tough place to go so a defeat isn't an atrocious result. However seeing how they've got on since then, we're they're only win, so results like that suddenly become very disappointing when you look back with hindsight.

Hull and Cardiff are two of the worst promoted sides I’ve ever seen

We’d have smashed it had we had the following season’s team a year earlier
