He was in the six yard box with a clear sight at goal. Yes in hindsight you can say well he should have passed, because he missed. But in that situation the shot was quite obviously on. Had he scored, which he should have done, then the pass wouldn't have even been mentioned.

Failing to square the ball isn't where the issue was with Bennett's decision, it was his panicked finish straight at the keeper.

1) Lack of game awareness

2) if he was in he six yard box and still doesn't score, Jesus I don't want him near the starting 11

3) booked now, stupid foul.

A couple of defensive schizoid embolisms apart, I think we've been excellent so far. Lots of movement and some nice interchanges in midfield and decent movement off the ball too. Tough ask away to Manure but we've not looked wildly out of place. COYR

Correct Sir. I concur.

Two young lads on the right have their hands full tonight. Mason in particular needs to stay calm and alert and try and provide Jayden with a little more cover. Martial is a proper handful, mind. Never realised just how rapid he is before. Boy's got wheels! Still in this mind and a goal would doubtless do wonders for the nerves. COYR

Martial’s ripping Bogle apart, similar to what he did to Christie. Hope this doesn’t ruin his confidence like it did for Christie.

Martial rips any right back apart, that's why most teams double up on him. We are Risking it and hoping it pays off.

Top player, another talent that hasn’t fulfilled his potential because of Mourinho and will probably need to leave like Salah and De Bruyne left Chelsea.

What’s he supposed to do? No one is giving him a passing option. Utd are marking everyone as soon as our CBs get the ball.

Under no pressure he could probably stop aimlessly hoofing it out of play. Had all the time in the world there.

What he just did in that last move was perfect.
