That’s one 45 minutes out of 92 we’ll play this year.

Obviously most people are going to leap to conclusions about the season after its 1/92 complete.

People were making conclusions about this team and Lampard after 1/828 of the season. Those first 5 minutes were all they needed.

Reading are really up for this, Clement was really up for this.

I think that's come as a bit of a suprise to the team, they're chasing everything down and is proving very successful for them. But they didn't take their chances.

Hopefully we come out for the second half a little bit more wise, less panicking in possession and we start finding the right shirts with the passes. Not a great start, but it's still 0-0.

We've shown small bits of quality, reasons to be hopeful.

We've got nothing coming down the right atm. Only occasional attacks down the left. Wheres the movement from pre season - everything so static and the defense is so isolated.

And for those who think the commentators are you always this paranoid. They are just saying what they see and quite frankly it wouldnt be going to far for them to say we were crap because we were.

One thing in our favour is that Reading have created very little. Everything they've done has been provided for them by our mistakes, which suggests that if we settle down we'll be quite comfortable.

been waiting 45 mins....? but your right, we look dangerous in defence

It is very flat, too many casual errors. Need to get our pre season zip back. Not looking forward enough, too hesitant.

anyway .. 45 to go .. Frank’ll tweek it. COYR

cant help thinking a bit of FloJo pace might help, we haven’t done anything to frighten them yet.

Watching without sky commentary but the consensus here is that Derby were very poor first half. Personally I think we miss hud as he gives an outlet for Keogh who looks frightened to death when passing after two hospital passes. That’s slowed everything down . Lawrence had a mare so far. Not many options on the bench as we seem to have half the squad on the naughty step. Maybe try flo jo .

Wow. A lot of panic on here 45 mins into the season. Wassup wit’ yer?

The Good

Not a lot really. Mount looks sharp?

The Bad

Wilson greedy. Very greedy and selfish then

The Ugly

Keogh’s blind passing, Max Lowe’s lazy passing and Andre Wisdom has been terrible. He thinks he’s entitled to a 5 minute stare down as he stops the ball dead. He relies so much on his strength that he’s completely forgotten about the ball on two crosses and the move that got him a yellow card. He’s negative, slow witted and just a hinderance in that first half. Keogh was bad. Really bad. But he’s done some good stuff. The best thing Wisdom has done is take a throw.

45 mins into the season though I don’t expect anything. Too many people saying we’d smash Reading. In th early stages of the Champ season you never know what to expect. We certainly need to improve and why can’t or won’t we?

Terrific 1st half, just what Frank needed, shows him what life is going to be about in this league, and a plan B and C is essential in football. Have a word with Harry and Co . . . 2nd half will be interesting

1st half really shows why Nugent cant start week in week out.

Keogh made 3 mistakes in the first 16mins under no pressure at all, id like to try Wisdom CB and get a new RB

Need more from Bryson Mount Lawrence & Wilson, id be more tempted with Jozefzoon through the middle rather than out wide

Wasnt what I saw from us in preseason, hopefully it was just nerves and we get back to what we know we can do.

We will still win this!

Was worried this may happen with all the hype around the game.It had made us nervous and Reading have raised their game because of it.

It is likea third round cup game with the lesser team rising to the occasion.Having said that this early in the season tiredness may set in and more space could be available to us.

Kieth Andrews the only one talking sense!

Everyone else seems to think we are 30 games in to the season.

Its a transition and it’s not going to be easy.

I won’t judge anything until at least 10 games in.

A sensible post - they're in short supply tonight
