Don't understand why everyone is so gutted about signing him.

He's got a wicked left foot, great at set pieces. Is strong and quick and works really hard. Scores goals, Ipswich fans rate him. Rangers fans rated him. Leicester fans rated him....

I don't know how we are within FFP , but honestly I trust Mel and we must be or I Doubt we would be buying him.

We don't need to be within FFP - until the 'day of reckoning'. If Vydra doesn't go during this window, then he may well go in January - when a few Prem teams are looking nervously over their shoulders at the relegation trapdoor.

Talk of a few more players coming in ,which is great news. Waghorn, Bryan, Aina could all be rams by the end of the week.

Aina looks a good prospect and puts competition for places in keogh and Wisdom if they don't improve from Fridays performance. Believe he has talent and highly regarded at Chelsea.

Waghorn? Is he just a one season wonder. £8 mill seems a lot, albeit in bonus payments ect. Don't know Enough of him ,but obviously a few clubs interested in him so may be am missing some thing.

Bryan looks a decent player and if a deal can be done ,involving one of our players  Frank will have really shaken up the squad, given us more competion for places  and a bit more diversity.

Only concerns are we surely need to ship out four or five players such as Anya, Blackman, presumably Vydra, possibly Thorne  or Ledley to balance books. and reduce squad numbers. Surely some must be leaving before the window closes.

Or Mel needs to extend the facilities at Moor Farm. Best get the revised planning application back into Erewash BC pdq!!!

Scary to think if this goes through we're yet to see our two main strikers for the season in this team.

Marriott and Waghorn vying for the number 9 role has got to be the most luxurious dilemma we've had in the strike force in many a year

30 or 60 minutes running defenders into the ground in turn.

Strikers with pace that can score goals will always be a valued commodity and we will have one of the top scorers from the championship who can also play as one of the wide men.

And the top scorer of the EFLs last season...

It's a really good statement of intent.

Shame to lose the championships top scorer accommodate it though  .  If we had neither Vydra or Waghorn and the choice was offered we would trample Waghorn in the rush to got Vydras signature on the dotted line . Thought we would have learned by now not to get strikers who can also play out wide we have a load of them  - utility player equals average in both positions .

I think we might as well pay £8 million for him because even if we don't people will still say we did.
