Wolverhampton Wanderers v Derby County

Rowettball won’t work against a good team like Wolves. A 1-0 defeat would be a good result for us to not hurt confidence. Not a single one of our players would get into their team.

This game is about not getting embarrassed and then move on to the Burton game.

It’s a shame because we look confident enough on the ball. Could do with a bit more aggression and arrogance.

Absolutely. We have some decent footballers who can pass and play well. Should play to our strengths but also push them. Too passive.

Plenty of time to get back though.

don't worry guys - wolves won't win this. free flowing attacking football doesn't work anymore in the championship remember.

Never has apparently.

It's boring anyway. Not exciting like us

Oh come on, it's the Championship and Wolves aren't Barcelona. They've lost six games this season which is hardly a really low figure for the league winners. Reading went through the season only losing twice, so it's hardly as if Wolves are of a quality this league has never seen before. They're very comfortable, I'll admit that, but so far they've had one clear chance and scored from it. If it wasn't for that lapse in judgement and concentration, we'd be praising the team for how well we're doing so far. If we're going to play for a 1-0 defeat against a side from the same division we may as well just forfeit and go home now.

They are a better, quicker team than us. If we go chasing everywhere they will cut us open. We need to stay in the game, pressure the ball at the right times and nick a goal from somewhere., perhaps a set piece

Wouldn't go mad unless/until we go 2 down.

Don’t normally post in match day threads, just wanted to offer my view on the game.

Bit of a stalemate game really, shame Pearce didn’t stay level with Davies for their goal cos I don’t think they’ve been especially great going forwards. Neither have we, hoping we turn up the gears at some point but those moments seem to have disappeared this season.

We simply don’t have the players to be aggressive against them. If we do try to play open, they could embarrass us.
