My ideal squad going into next season would be:

gk: Carson, mitchell

rb: wisdom, Boyle/a young fast rb

cb: Davies, konsa (charlton), souttar (hearts) Pearce

lb: Lowe, garbutt (Everton)

cm: hudd , Thorne (assuming he can be brought fit- if not Johnson or Ledley),  ledson (Oxford) guy

Am: Lawrence, Maddison (Peterborough), Weimann, Thomas, elsnik

St: Marriott (peterborough), Jerome, nugent

Versatile squad player: anya, Hanson (not world beaters but decent to have making up the numbers)

sell: Forsyth (don’t think you’d get much but I think you’d get something),

keogh (sellable asset and I think derby would prosper post keogh)

vydra (id want to see us clear 12, ambitious 15-18)

johnson/Ledley- I’d like to see one go out of the two minimum

Olson- doesn’t sound like he’s going anywhere with this injury

bryson, Martin, butterfield, blackman

I am a fan of Ronaldo Viera and believe he would do really well next to Hudz. Would not be too expensive aswell as Heckingbottom doesn’t really rate the lad

Agreed, great player... think Leeds would expect too much though. Ledson was rumoured to be less than 1 milk in jan and we can’t spend any more on cms until we get them out

Most of these are late 20s early 30s not ideal at all!

Really need to be looking at young prospects from top 6 prem clubs or younger proven talents in the championship and league 1 such as Ronaldo Viera, Robinson and Marriott

Alternatively... Erhun Oztumer aka "The Turkish Messi" is leaving Walsall on a free as he's out of contract this summer.

Seen a lot of Ozthumer cracking little player but far too expansive for GR ?

A few out of contract (according to https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/endendevertraege) suggestions:-

  1. Sung-Yong Ki - Swansea; wages may be high, would be a good acquisition if we could shift a few central mids
  2. Abel Hernandez - Hull; championship record: played 52, scored 29, not too shabby for a Hull shitty player!
  3. Ryan Fredericks - Fulham; highly unlikely signing (esp. if Fulham go up), however i rate him very highly. His raw pace is great for both his attacking and defensive game

Never seen him play, but Bradley Dack.

Am I doing it right?

Would cost more than we can afford and just got promoted with his current club into the Championship so, yep, you've got it spot on!

Hmmmm - Please do tell me more

Interesting suggestion that's all

Just a handful.

Young tall quick and direct.

Lets be honest we have moved from a Martin type striker with ball to feet football and I feel we need someone to do Jerome/Nugents job of pressing the back line and being an absolute nuisance.
