Because we played like a league 2 side away at Man Utd. 20% possession and only 3 shots total is abysmal.

I'd be more worried being the team with 80% possession that only managed 2 shots on target, been us so many times in the past.

Players were clearly afraid of repeat of Bristol City so played extremely defensively, our defensive shape was good and we restricted chances. Why are fans so uppity when opposition pass it side to side for 10 minutes but never get near our penalty area? Thats good defending, they can pass it there all they want just cut out the dangerous balls and hit them on the counter. The last bit we failed to do as we were dreadful on the ball, really poor from all in midfield and attack.

Do think it was a different game if Bennett had stayed on has he looked well up for it

People need to calm down .

Tom Lawrence will need time to settle etc.

Tom Lawrence isn't the problem - He was the only sparkle in an otherwise dour side yesterday

Answer this though - Is Bradley Johnson a creative, dynamic number 10? Because that was the role he was given yesterday...

Mate their is no pleasing you .

Is this because CM isn't playing!

Lol. See you are a joker. What good would Martin be in this team.

You know the answer to your question, but what the heck lets go again.

Some fans are worried because Rowett is looking clueless.

That was to accommodate JL and Jonno was probably an experiment to see how it went.

A draw at Brentford I'd take that thanks.

The only reason we didnt win this game is that JL isnt quite match fit and couldnt play for 94 mins.

If he had played until the final whistle we would have won it.

He will get fitter and even better as the games go on and we will keep many clean sheets, and as we are more solid this will give the other players more confidence to get forward more , so we will get more goals.

to use a mechanical analogy regarding the team

It isnt broken. it doesnt need fixing its just running in after a new engine has been fitted.

A draw at Brentford is hardly a disaster considering we lost 4-0 there in April. It appears the style of play isn't to everyone's liking but an away point is fine provided we can win our home games. Cardiff will be a test but I have seen us win there. My concern is the middle 2 in a 4-2-3-1 system need to be energetic and tenacious to cover the back 4 while pressing those in front of them up the pitch. A few years ago Middlesborough had Leadbetter and Clayton who played the role well. We don't have anyone of that ilk and the transfer window in my view was a disaster.

Agree,

especially re the transfer window.

but it was very clear that rowett was hamstrung by not being able to get players out cos of mismanagment before him

ie: players on long and generous contracts.... was it financial fidiciary ?????mr rush???

does that traslate as 'incompetence'

Yes they do but it's up to them though.

Lawrence did well for that cross to Winnall then Winnall to Ledley and scored.

We're not ALL worried @curtains

We're 6 points better off than at this stage last season and have just ground out a solid point against a team who ripped us to shreds at their place last season. Baby steps maybe, but that's progress.

I'm perfectly happy and content to give Gaz the 2 full seasons remaining on his contract and see how things look at that point.
