SaintRam
I'm simply not sure how keen he would be to play in the champ. I reckon he'll go to Newcastle.
davenportram
I would. Really? You would actually write "He bossed Derby" or would you write "He bossed US", because all football fans i speak too refer the their team as "us" or "we".

But I switch between them randomly and without thought when I type. You could probably find loads of posts on here where other people and I have used Derby instead of us. You should say "us"
RamLad1884
Can't see the harm of a short term contract, we get an experienced (including promotion experienced) midfielder, he gets to put himself back in the shop window.
SSC
I would rather we didn't turn into QPR. Hasbeen.
SaintRam
If he doesn't get an offer from a Prem club, he's 32, he'll probably just get a cushy position on the occasional five live stuff or similar.

TheDeadlySaul
He's an average player who is on ludicrous wages and is a nasty bit of work. No thanks.

DCFC1388
Not sure why Bartons previous wages matter? He is currently on £0 a week wages and has been all summer so i doubt he is expecting anywhere near what he used to be on. Plus he was on similar to Bent who we have also signed on a free
Uptherams
He is a dick. But he is a good CM. He's 33 in a couple of weeks. So if he expects a high weekly wage or more than a 2 year deal he can get stuffed. Hughes has spoken highly of Pritchard and Loftus-cheek. I know how that dick at Chelsea doesn't want to loan him out and Pritchard wants a shot with Spurs, reality is being here would be great for them both and hopefully Hughes will have a word. Albert
I've said it before, but I would honestly struggle to watch the team with him in the side. I would be honestly disgusted with the club if they are even considering him as a genuine option.
Day
I will rig this poll if it continues the way it is, people are looking and we have a reputation to keep!
Slim charles
I actually think we need 'abit' of nasty, think he would be a decent signing for us
blackNwhites
As per a post I made in another thread of which I have forgotten, I think this is exactly the type of player Paul Clement would be looking to sign for us. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him sign.Be a bit awkward with Chris Martin though.
Kernow
People will have their own opinions on him and rightly so. My view is that had we had him for the 2013/14 season, we'd have gone up.We needed someone like him last season. If it wasn't for his personal issues, he'd be an outstanding signing. But then again if he didn't have personal issues he'd be in the PL.I can't say I'd actively want to sign him, but should our club decide to do that, I wouldn't be up in arms and boycott either.
