Just said that if we get more points deducted we might then play the youngsters to prepare us for League 1 - which wouldn't necessarily be fair to other teams or the integrity of the league! Nice one Wayne, get those 'threats' in early! #COYR

Administrator stated priority is initiating interim funding and no wage deferral is on the cards. Squad pay and WR contract seemingly not in jeopardy
Media circus bull poo rolls on, it will be perpetual, disregard 99% of what's 'revealed' - I do.
The Administrators will just carry on with the job.

My unpopular opinion is that I believe the Premier League SHOULD shut up shop.
I heard on the radio that the revenue generated by the Premier League is currently 50/50 between overseas and the UK. It has changed significantly and quickly as it once stood at 90/10. Now, I don't think that is a bad thing at all and obviously for the Premier League it's fantastic. The apatite for the league is great, but let's not pretend that grew because of the promotion and relegation. It grew because of the dominance of the top 6 and 90% of that overseas revenue is due to them, without question. The balance will soon shift where the Premier League becomes a genuine tourist league. The revenue will be significantly dominated by overseas investment and in turn there will be requirements by the Premier League to pander, if that's the right word, to the investors. We aren't far away from Premier League games being played in different countries and again, I'm not totally against it. I wouldn't want Derby to be a part of it.
A permanent break from the Premier League would allow the EFL to focus on their brand. The majority of football supporters in this country support teams outside the top 20 clubs in the league. Undeniable. I would argue that the majority of football fans in the country, like me, aren't interesting the big clubs - the big names. They just want a game of football to watch at a reasonable price at a reasonable time.
The EFL then could become a competitor to the Premier League. The top division in the EFL becomes the Premier League for the 'national league' it's not a stepping stone any more. I genuinely believe it would garner more attention from the wider public, if marketed correctly. The biggest benefit is that clubs wouldn't have the disparity between the Premier League and Championship anymore, the pot of gold isn't there.
The only other option is going to be increased hand-outs from the Premier League down into the football league. The more the Premier League grows, the more help the Championship will need to stop it becoming a complete farce - more so than it already is.
Mel said only two teams in the past 10 years(?) have been promoted without completely blowing up their finances in their promotion year, excluding those promoted with parachute payments. You only have to look at the top 3 now. I think the frustrations with Norwich being promoted and relegated almost bi-annually is starting to cause questions too, from the Premier League.

I haven't looked at the accounts as a) I am not an accountant and b) I really cannot be bothered. To a common layman I find that the figures being banded around doesn't seem to add up. If the wage bill is £40 million per annum, as widely stated, then over the tenure of Mel this adds up to about £160m. Okay managers have come and gone and, also with Keogh etc.. but would that add up to another £40m. The day to day running Mel says is between £1.3m to £1.5 m per week. If you take the higher figure then that annual amount is around £78m. So we have to pay ongoing running costs but we have had income through season tickets;sponsership deals and a pitiful amount of transfer fees. Yes we have bought players in but their fees were either 'free' or,except for Bielik, on the low side. Also if £80 million was paid for the stadium, where is it? Is there going to be a twist where uncle Mel has the last laugh by,once a buyer purchases the club, he gives us the stadium for nothing? Very very confused. Hopefully someone could enlighten me as I am an old git now!?

Got two tickets, last home match was pre COVID Feb or March 2020- was a season ticket holder for a number of years. Not been this season due to combination of other commitments, apathy about attending events after COVID and unhappiness with how the club is run but the club needs the fans now.

Quick big up for the much criticised ticket office.... Sent them a e mail about a issue purchasing tickets for next two games had a phone call back within 10 minutes saying it was sorted and I should not have a problem going forward has they were in the process of sending out season ticket cards.

Administrators have just said that an extra 5000 tickets sold will make a massive difference to keeping the short term cash flow running, priority is to pay off HMRC who will hopefully do as they did for Wigan and Bolton and accept 25p or 30p in the pound, they are getting finance together to pay that off, making us very attractive to purchase !! so come on lets do our bit for our club !!! winning this is far bigger than winning at Wembley so dust off your shirts and get buying tickets all those that clammered for a ticket to London and the streets that were paved with gold !!!!
this is no fairytale its real so get behind our club !! COYR !!!!!!!!!!!

Yea reading some other clubs forums and people really hate us, as fans. Seen some boro fans are calling us all deluded cos one person on here said sky would be upset that we wouldn't be in the championship anymore.
So much for fans solidarity. Fans calling other clubs to get points deductions or be relegated or calling other teams cheats should be careful what they wish for.

Right now they have to just focus on staying up. Try to avoid adding League 1 to the list of problems. That's one thing all of them can control at least until January.
Fans can also support the push so that whatever comes next the fans and players did their bit to help.

It's hard for me to understand how we could have amassed so much debt and how it wasn't picked up by regulators at the end of each financial year. How many other businesses could have carried on in this way for so long? I understand Mel's point on Saturday about COVID affecting each team disproportionately depending on parachute payments, size of club etc.  and I think Derby was one of those clubs that was disproportionately affected. However I think that the main reason that we were also hit especially hard was because we already had huge impending debts and entered the pandemic with those debts hanging over us and with no money in the contingency fund. How on earth was Mel allowed to get us into this position? Did we not have top accountants at the club who could have stepped in to safeguard the future of the club? I wish HMRC had been as diligent with DCFC as it is with the rest of us! Yours in exasperation...
