I honestly wouldn't. The clubs been hammered and will be further.  His whinge has been addressed twice and was deemed unchargeable. All he's doing now is trying to but a club that's been around 137 years out of business by driving up legal costs.  What a thoroughly horrific piece of pond life.

Even the BBC website's headline yesterday was about how Rooney wouldn't have taken the job if he had known the full financial situation.
The headline should have been that the administrators are positive about finding new ownership - but that doesn't get as many 'clicks'

Simon Jordan is bang on the money 90% of the time.
I don't think he likes Rooney or trusts him with the job, because I believe going by his comments that he sees Derby as a club who shouldn't be a starting point for first-time managers. He had similar reservations regarding Lampard, I believe.
I think what has happened here, certainly going on a few comments on TalkSPORT today, is that (like our fight with the EFL) only half-truths are being spoken, considered and taken in the completely wrong direction. The Championship is an afterthought of a lot of these stations and it shows in their level of research.
Mel Morris has clearly closed the tap off and put us into administration when he didn't have to. He could've paid the debts himself and got the club back to a good starting point. However, as he admitted in his interview with Radio Derby, once he decided he would not benefit from any of the finances he put in, he decided against using his own money. He put debts on the club. It's as simple as that.
Rooney was given the opportunity to start his career here, obviously not in these circumstances, so he has every right to feel coerced into a position that he didn't sign up to. The lack of communication has been painful for us, never mind the manager of the club. I just think he's not completely factored everything in.
People still look at Mel for putting money in the club, the £200m comment is utter drivel (and we know it) as nearly half of that accounts to the stadium that he has in his possession. He's still coming away with this as some unlucky person who gave his last ££ to the club in order to achieve success. He didn't. He gambled and when he decided to want out then he decided to pile debts on the club. I guess he said he doesn't want any of the money owed to him back, although I'm not entire sure that is 100% the case. I guess we will see.

Because he was being employed by MM does that mean he should be barred from criticising him ? Employment is a two way straight and on that MM hasn't exactly done his part with his completely inadaquate amouunt of communication to the staff. Thing is what did Rooney say that was so wrong yesterday, he was critical of Mel's behaviour in recent times and critical in particular of his communication to his staff after being asked directly about it in an interview whilst also commending MM for the money he'd put in and that it was time to move past him. Everything he said was within the realms of reasonable professional criticism.
It should be also said that on the other hand that MM (in the brief appearances he's made) has made comments that are thinly veiled criticism towards Rooney.
Is this accurate, especially the last line? He said something to the effect of "We need to move past him" not that he was glad he was gone right ? In my opinion it was very different tonally than what you are trying to represent here. The comments about insincerety and dishonesty were about MM's speech to the staff and his interview in particular not necessarily about the guy in general (although I'll concede that isn't much of a stretch).
Honestly I can't help but feel Rooney's comments were perfectly in the realms of reasonable about an individual, robust maybe but from everything that's going off at the club it's not exactly uncalled for. I can think of plenty other managers that would have absolutely torn into MM here.

I've never listened to it, probably just as well from what I've read in recent months. I get the impression the occasional good discussion is seriously outnumbered by garbage - are they the radio equivalent of the Daily Star?

We have to remember that the EFL's conduct in the DCFC disciplinary case has stoked media frenzies and emboldened gobby hypocrites like the Boro and Wycombe chiefs to dip their bread, to make a lot of spurious noise to allege misfortune caused by the 'guilty' party, their aim being to further damage a competitor.
    * Dragging out the proceedings for over a year and a half, allowing a fellow club (Boro) to engage in actions against DCFC whilst the disciplinary case was in progress (thereby extending the torture for a year, though the actions were thrown out)
    * Drip-feeding negative updates to the media without consultation with Derby (positing 'alternative' Derby/Wycombe fixture lists for a Championship <> League One swap if a 2020/21 points deduction was applied)
    * Stating their 'regret' that their appeal resulted only in a £100,000 fine for DCFC's amortisation technicalities
    * Not reprimanding the Wycombe cowboy for publicly accusing DCFC of systematic cheating
Now we're in administration, minus 12 points with the prospect of further penalties, most even-minded people would surmise that Derby had copped their just desserts and a reset had been enforced.

The only bargaining chip the EFL has, that they wouldn't have the bottle to threaten the PL with, is to turn off promotion & relegation from EFL to PL & PL to EFL.
Doing this would make 90% of PL games effectively dead rubbers, ruining the PL entertainment and lowering their broadcasting revenue.
The PL would soon come back with a fairer deal for all.

This would be a very slippery slope for football if they acted on it. In world of football the 'What if?' game is the road to madness and obsession. We've all seen moments of injustice down the years, for and against. Perhaps we should start reviewing decades of penalty decisions to see if we can engineer a different result and perhaps all the clubs can chip in for a massive barn-sized super computer to re-crunch every result since football has been on TV.
Perhaps Rotherham would like to sue us for that uber soft penalty for a slight jostling of Jeff Chandler ? Or perhaps we can sue Leicester for Savages dive ? Perhaps dozens of teams can sue Liverpool for the time that we were not allowed in European competition after Heysel??
Jeez, just move on man, we've getting shafted and relegated. Well done, hope you're happy now.

    Yep.
I pointed it out as a bit of a joke before but you need to look at the history of new EFL boss man Rick Parry and how his and others' decisions affected Steve Gibson.
It all smacks of making amends and carrying out future actions of appeasement in the fear of legal repercussion.

It’s a weird hatred he’s developed. I saw a Boro fan on Twitter justify it because “we cost them promotion”, how exactly did we do that? By finishing one place above them?
What about Villa who also broke the rules, but got promoted, are they not being targeted because they finished 1 place higher? He clearly sees us as an easy target and has done for a while.
He seems to be trying to use a vendetta against us to justify his club’s failings. I thought he’d be happy enough to wave us goodbye out of the trapdoor of the league but no, this is low even by his standards.
They were relegated in 2017 and had parachute payments for three years, yet it is our spending that is the reason… right.
If the roles were reversed, I would be outraged by our conduct. I always thought it was just a Morris v Gibson thing, but now Morris has gone he’s decided to go for the every day people with mortgages to pay, and the fans who just want to go and watch their team play football. His conduct is quite embarrassing to be honest.
