was a bit disappointed by Tommo - he looked so promising in late 2021. I think in a midfield mix involving more senior players he will do better - and he and Knight together in a midfield of 5 might provide good balance alongside the more senior players. Despite his lacklustre performance he was one of the players Warne singled out in his post match interview so would not be surprised to see more of him. He’s Warne’s sort of player

I’m actually coming up for this one. I’d decided I couldn’t afford it but my son offered to not only buy my ticket but to pay my train fare as well!
I must have got something right bringing him up!

You’re Stephen Gerrard and I claim my £5. Or Ryan Giggs? Lampard? Scholes ?

Probably worth recounting a little gallows humour about Derby & England.
There was I, sitting at Wembley for the Euro 2020 final, just before the pennos. I randomly turn to the bloke next to me, to whom I’d not talked all match.
“Do you think we’ll win?” I asked. “No”, he said, sadly, “I support Derby and we always lose here”.
Instantly, I knew both of us, and England, were doomed.

Think I'm in the minority here, if the match was a nations league game or qualifiers then Derby would get the nod but as its the world cup I've got to go for England. Although I acknowledge that I probably wouldn't be at pride park even if there wasn't a clash. I'd most probably be taking a vacation to Tokyo to watch the match via Rams tv.
Anyway if England don't top their group then they need burning at the stake so hopefully this scenario won't occur. However, if it does then the EFL needs to use some common sense and move our time/date.

Would dearly have loved to have been at this one but the train strike means I can’t get up from Bristol.
So please would those of you who will be there cheer a little louder for me???

I was just longing for someone to do that thing you see so often in the Prem, where the player just puts his foot out, the ball lands softly on this toes, falls like a dead cat and then sits obediently at his feet like a spaniel waiting for you to throw the stick. Instead the ball was constantly out of control and in the air - like watching wimbledon in the 90s

Rams tv should be like one of those restaurants where you decide after you’ve finished how much you should pay. Tonight I’d pay £3 for Dobbin’s goal, £2 for Bird’s earlier pass to him, £1.50 for that run by Sibley down the right wing and £2.50 for Tommo’s penalty (just like Martial last night). But then I’d deduct £1 for each of Fozzy and Stears’ penalties and £2 for their goal. £5 quid. That’s fair it was pretty grim overall

Derby born (Nightingale, a popular place !!?)
My Dad took me to my first match at the BBG in January 1959 - see picture below that still hangs in Pride Park. I was somewhere on that picture on the Popside. PNE in a FA Cup match 2-2. 2 or 3 inches of snow on the pitch and on the terraces. The match would not have been played now a day.
DERBY PLAYED IN RED !!!! ? and I see both teams had white shorts.
'Forever Derby' from that day onwards even though I have lived 50 miles away since 1967.
Two daughters both keen Rams fans and season ticket holders. Although the eldest had a brief skirmish with Coventry the year they won the Cup but I soon put a stop to that !!!
We still travel the 100 mile round trip. IT'S IN YOR DNA.

Give me strength. It’s a nonsense trophy, we were playing a team all over the place. You expected more from a back 3 with Forsyth and Stearman in it? Did you miss the part where all of our club left in the summer and our u21 and u18 teams are getting pumped every single week, let alone in games like this? We ended up with Robinson at the back, who’s not even a defender for crying out loud. We have no depth, this is well established.
With all that said. The only goal they scored was direct from a corner, and Cybulski could’ve had 3, Dobbin another etc. Either team could’ve won that.
Just some really dumb reactions in here tonight which lack any form of context.
