Probably because the keeper has all the time in the world to catch it completely unchallenged, because all the Forest players are in a different postcode?

There is different and there is crap

I was talking about the routine not the execution  It won’t always work but would love to see us doing something imaginative like that

    should try one of these

But why is that a bad corner routine? At least it’s different. We’ve not seen anything different in a set piece routine since shay given left. Total lack of imagination and creativity. The oppo look at the tape from the last 5 games and know what to expect.
If today is anything to go by we’ll see a lot of parked buses this season and the plan will be to hit us on the break. We need to find novel options from set pieces

  3. We looked in a different class for most of the match. There were some worrying moments in defence where positional play was poor - and Cashin and Curtis made some very sloppy errors (again). The combination of long ball and play-it-out is potent if we do it well and Wildsmith looks like a handy quarter back. Midfield is still not working. Bird came to life when Sibley came on and I don’t think that was a coincidence. Collins needs a goal

The parallels between this season and last in terms of failing to take out chances despite a almost complete transformation in personel is striking.

The common denominator being liams involvement as a senior coach.....hopefully this is a trend that is not going to continue but if it does,it may indicate that some help with the attacking coaching of the squad to unlock the potential of our strikers.

Early days, don't get me wrong but it just feels a little too familiar.

    I blame the Tory government

  5. Slightly changing the subject... Yesterday I hear someone saying that the 3 biggest gates in Europe so far this calendar year have all been women’s games (2 in Spain as well as the final at Wembley). Not what most people would expect

No, we don't know the details of the dispute. All we really know is that he apparently isn't turning up for work and wants to tear up his Contract so he can get a new club and a signing-on fee.

Would be surprised to learn that the club is paying him but that he is returning the money - or at least telling them he’s willing to return it

Apologies as I couldn’t find Collins’ previous thread on here so started a new one. Please merge is necessary!

Anyway after watching Hourihane’s goal for the 178th time quite casually on Twitter, for the first time I spotted what Collins did and it’s importance. Just for all the naysayers out there really.

Anyway first phase is show in image one:

Collins sits neatly in between the two defenders although one isn’t on screen. As the ball gets passed to Hourihane and the defender directly in front of Collins’ moves to the ball, of which I don’t think he has a choice, what does Collins do?

As shown in image 2, Collins moves behind the second defender, meaning D2 has to stay wide and this leaves the gap for Hourihane to have a clear strike on goal. Simple movement as it’s effectively two steps left. Hourihane gets the plaudits but never under estimate how a good strikers positioning can impact a goal. Reckon we will see a lot of this over the season, many will whinge about his scoring stats if it’s he’s not banging them in every game but strikers play a valuable attacking role in many different ways

Disappointed not to find a yoga tip on this thread

Here's the preview on a Charlton forum if you want to read what they're saying in the buildup:

Rather a nice exchange between two of their fans:

A: “we won’t be seeing Derby again next season”

B “what makes you think they won’t be promoted as well”

Can Derby County FC disassociate themselves from gambling advertising/sponsorship without first pulling out of whichever Skybet division they happen to be in at that time?  ?‍♂️

Yes. Of course. The club makes a statement to the effect that it won’t take direct sponsorship from the sector.
Would be nice to see a heavyweight company with a big presence in Derby step into the breach when that announcement is made

That wasn’t through him not making an effort to get involved. I counted at least half a dozen times where he dropped into the wide spaces left by either a Barkhauzen or NML run but Bird or one of the centre halves went short to someone else.  I’m assuming Rosinior wants him to do this so he has time to play a through ball to Collins or switch play to the opposite wing.  Plus when they were in possession he was diligently pressing when it was needed.

He’ll be more involved when we start giving him the ball more

Ok fair enough. But the Barker comment was at the beginning of the game and reflected his impression of H over the years. That said, if he pops winners in for us on a regular basis there’ll be few complaints

Shirt sponsorship is nothing, sorry if you disagree, but it's a tiny piece of the artillery the gambling company's deploy.

TV Adverts, particularly the one that uses Sweet Caroline, are far more pervasive.

Multiple others, suggesting a crowd of lads, and it's always lad's, having their day enhanced by a cheeky little acca.

You can't listen to a commercial radio station without hearing a betting ad every few minutes, or the station running a competition in conjuction with a betting firm.

Dont get me started on Talksport, who interrupt live commentary to give you the latest live odds!

Nevermind those same broadcasters constantly pushing their own text competitions at £2 a pop.

Bet or don't bet, the choice is yours, but ultimately the exposure to those outlets is massively higher in the broadcast media than through a name on front of a shirt.

That's where the petitions should be aimed, imo.

Surely the OP would agree with everything you say. But his ambitions are realistic
