A great lad and a true Ram. Always a pleasure to read his posts on here.
If ever I was feeling down after a poor performance, his positivity always picked me up and put a smile back on my face.

Commenting on the ownership is fair game. We had this with with MM - you can't criticise because he's a fan, he's putting his own money in - and look where that ended up.
Whether the comments/ criticism are fair is all that should matter.
I was very vocal about my dislike of Morris. I could see through his lies and insincerity.
For that I was often shot down in pieces on here for my views on that horrible man.
However, you hear no such thing from me about David Clowes. We wouldn't have a club if it wasn't for him. However, I do feel as if he does not have the financial clout that is needed to run a football club and I would welcome him bringing in some other entrepreneur to share the burden of bringing this club back to where we should be.
Comparing Morris with Clowes is like comparing a rat with a lion

I believe Clowes is intending to stick with Warne. I commend him for not being like the egotistical idiot Morris with his gung ho trigger happy approach to ownership, BUT, loyalty towards a manager that is clearly failing can only stretch so far.

I've had enough now. I'm getting to the stage where I don't even want to watch us play. Been watching them regularly since 1965.......Worst team I've ever seen

I am thinking of buying myself one of the hospitality packages for a game this season as a birthday treat (or I might persuade the family buy it 🙂 )
I would like the opportunity to meet some of the old-time players who are still around and I assume that's part of the deal.Has anyone ever done this? Any tips to share? Which ones would you recommend?
Yes I went to one a few years ago. Roger Davies was there chatting to folk and I met up again with Henry Newton but I think he was perhaps there in a private capacity.
It was an ok do to be honest

I remember that day they started fighting again going down the tunnel after being sent off.

That is exactly right and Franny pummelled him

The football was better under McClaren and if he returned I think we would fair far better.
What are your thoughts on him coming back to try and rescue this season?

I've read a few threads on X from Rotherham fans and the parallells between them and us when W has been in charge are alarming.
One such post reads:

#dcfcfans #dcfc how’s warne doing lads? 3 at back? Long ball? Miss out the central midfielders every game by banging it over there heads? Loads of injuries in training? Same subs every week? No plan B? Just wondering from a miller?

My best guess is that if things improve by end of October he will be given the elbow.
I would fully respect DC to go for someone who plays football the right way
Could bring in Morris to play "the Derby Way"

Something has got to change. Either Warne admits his style is not working and changes things, or we carry on into mediocrity with football that is better than any sleeping pill can achieve

I noted that yesterday. Not a shot on target. That is simply unacceptable, especially when playing at home.
Something needs to change and fast!

Bit bored of same discussions and its a while to the next match so to try and distract (or ignore as you wish and go back to the moaning) and remind us why we're all on here can we share some positives:
- favourite Rams player(s) (dont have to have seen play) and why?
- stupidest journey to see Rams play?
- funniest match moment?
- favourite away ground visited and why?
- proudest moment as Rams fan?
Feel free to add Qs or totally ignore or try and start other topics please before we all go bonkers.
Kevin Hector. A fantastic all round player and a loyal servant to the club
Going to Carlisle in the ice and snow only for it to be postponed three quarters of the way there
Watching Frannie Lee beat up Hunter
Benfica's Stadium of Light for the European Cup in 1973. Fantastic day all round and a unique ground. I don't think the match finished until close to midnight.
Winning the league in 1972 and beating Chelsea in the League Cup in 1968.

Absolutely loads of things you can blame Mel for, but unless he's sneaking into the dressing room in his coaching kit and doing pre-match team-talk, I'm not sure you can hold him accountable for the football we're currently playing.
I think we can, because of his actions, we wouldn't be putting out an average League One team. So yes he is to blame
