It's no from me

He's be ideal as an interceptor for all the crosses coming in

There's a lot of tetchy people on here today.

Andyou miss the point of what we have been through in the past three years. It's not just about writing cheques and fans who think that they are being sold short by owners who don't go down that path really need to give their head a wobble.
I'm sure we can find a couple of million from somewhere. If that's what it takes to boost our promotion challenge, so be it.
I am not condoning, signings left right and centre, but a striker that we desperately need is a must

The Club DO NOT need to make any statement to you, me or any other fans about player signings until they are actually signed by us.
You miss my point. You have misconstrued my use of the word statement
-
I just don't think we are serious enough about getting out of this division.
The club need to make a statement to the fans and buy this geezer instead of buggering about trying to get him on loan

A lot of our recruitment seems to be very Warne, not very Thomas, based on Oxford's signings over the years.
If that's the case why bring the guy in then?
-
Don't want him at Derby
-
Warne has some strange ideas sometimes.

None of them would get into this Derby team. They're too old.
He was joking

Well that was not good. The defence was ropey to say the least and we have no real attacking threat.
We are not going to get out of this league playing like we did today
Ward looked like the only player capable of putting in a decent cross but Warne took him off?
Can't work that one out
We desperately need a striker now
-
Wasn't the deadline to register for tomorrow, 12pm today?
No new striker for tomorrow then 😉
-
Not sure we have a big enough pot to pee in
-
We are stronger in defence hopefully, but we are weaker in midfield and definitely attack, so I think we will struggle to get in the play off places. I hope we do rather than expect it.
Unless we get in a decent striker to replace McGoldrick and a decent midfield player to replace Knight I will be quite disappointed with the business done in the transfer window.
If Bird is sold too, I'll be even more disillusioned with our progress and ambition to get out of League One.
Who that is down to, I don't know.
Still a bit of time to go, to show our true desire to get a serious promotion challenge underway.
Glass still half full at the moment.
-
I think we are going to get "sod all" new permanent strikers in this window, or a replacement for Knight.
Hope I'm wrong, but it's not looking great atm
-
-
Without signing a decent stiker and at least one more midfielder I don't think we will be in the running for the auto positions
-
We should have kept him. Which idiot released him?
-
He should frig off and not come anywhere near the club. I'll not back him.
He should go forth and multiply as far as I'm concerned.
