I don’t know about Rick Parry, but we should invite the local MPs. At least they are trying to help; I’m not convinced they are BIG Derby fans, but they are supporters nonetheless. Would love to see them at PPS supporting the rams.

Just kicking the can down the road.
We still haven’t sorted out hmrc then?
Or “legacy debt”. Basically nothing is sorted.
What are the administrators actually doing?

Why not ask the players to contribute towards ticket sales too? I feel sure that some could player for a class full of kids themselves. They’re probably just waiting for someone to ask them!!

I thought there had been multiple bids? Kirchener, Ashley, Appleby, ANOther (maybe these guys??).
I suspect this may accelerate eliminating the Middlesbrough /Wycombe issue from the negotiations. So great news.
But it still leaves the rest of the creditors. We still don’t know where quantuma really are with them.

Fine by me. It'll be all the sweeter when we take their claims on and they get laughed out of the room.

Doesn’t the administrator have a duty to the creditors to get the best deal for them?
So even if these guys do agree to a future contingent liability to Middlesbrough and Wycombe, they might not be the highest bidder and therefore the admins may not be able to select them.
As with anything … this might be good news, it might not be. Who knows??

I've mentioned this before but something that could easily be fixed up in a day with a bit of software amendment and heavily advertised on Social media.
The club could make one seat at every home game a 'Donate' seat, you click the seat (Software sets this to multiple how many highs) and we can purchase as many of these 'virtual' seats as possible, say set it as £5 a seat and I want to donate £20 I pay for 4 seats.
The club gets 100% income and solves the 'paying back' issue.
Surely someone with contacts with Owen Bradley or someone could set this up pretty sharpish????
The attendance announcement on match day could include how many of the virtual seats are in attendance to interact with the fans.

One other option, that I mentioned on another thread is to get DCFC fans to pool money together to buy tickets with a view to giving them to the community. For example local schools. That way we contribute to the team and to the local community and get kids interested in supporting the rams.

Just a thought … could forum members fund between them raise enough to pay for, say, a class or a year group from a local school to go to a match? I’m not exactly sure of the cost of a child’s ticket but if it’s, say, £10 each plus a couple of adults, well that’s around £360. If forum members contributed £10 each that’s only 36 lots before we have a class full. We’d also need someone to contact a local school and offer them the tickets.
This would not only give us the opportunity to fund the club, but also encourage youngsters from the area to support the Rams.

I wonder if this is more about security and a long term wage for the player than it is about saving money for the club. It must be tough having no plan for a salary beyond June, even if you are confident in your ability.
Also, any injury and you’re down to zero salary come next July.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m just struggling to see what Derby actually gain from this move outside of £100k or so (including shinnie’s salary) saved over the next 5 months.

I'll miss him. I get he wasn't everybodys cup of tea but he never left anything out there on the pitch. In our current predicament then that kind of commitment is priceless. Thankfully we have a squad bursting with that level of commitment at the moment.

I have also received a reply from Rick parry.
It’s  P&C, so I would not wish to share it. Notwithstanding, what I can share is that he is suggesting the EFLs insolvency policy and need to be applied consistently. The Middlesbrough  and Wycombe claims don’t need to be resolved but there does need to be a process to take them forwards.
TBH, I’m grateful for a reply, whoever is answering must have a lot to deal with and the fact that they are answering everyone individually is really quite commendable.

We’ve already played stoke twice this season and they still have to play all the teams around us. So perhaps that’s the silver lining here? Hope he does well at stoke (only because it helps Derby!!)

Unless he has a clause in his contract saying he can go for free, or go for a fixed amount or something, we’re free to negotiate a deal for him like we would with a player.
Honestly, as bad as it would be to lose him, he’s quite possibly our most saleable asset right now. We probably wouldn’t get the £4m+ we got for Lampard, but it could potentially be a million or 2.

Another star performance from Rooney and the players today that fills us all with so much pride.
    Fans' support is outstanding.
It's clear though, from Rooney and Lawrence's interviews, that it's over now. The key phrase both choked on was "if we could only keep this team together".
The Administrators in one of their statements said it will be weeks now to get the money together. They also took the decision to accept the bid for Shinnie.
No matter how well the team have done to date, the fire sale starts now. No one could blame any of those heroes - Rooney included - if they left to secure their futures.
    Relegation is now certain.
The only real question now is can we avoid liquidation or are we heading for a Phoenix club. COYR ?
