Kingpin reacted to Crewton in Triumph and Tragedy - Alan Hinton's autobiography
25,000 IIRC, and the chants of "Alan, Alan Hinton, Alan Hinton on the wing" that echoed around the stadium were really poignant. Everyone felt empathy with him that night, over the loss of his young son through illness and the financial problems his business had suffered as a result. Derby fans really showed up for him.

Kingpin reacted to Mucker1884 in Tickets on sale
Bugger!
I've become quite attached to my little collection of spent e-tickets. I'm gonna miss those guys!
I might Sellotape my card to my mobile, and still insert it, just for old times sake.

I have Keogh's poppy day shirt from the 3-0 win over Rotherham, how much do you want to take it away?

Kingpin reacted to Wolfie20 in Factory jobs
Retired now but during my unbroken 47 years of employment I went through 5 instances where a new company took over so had to go through the horrible process of applying either for my existing role or something similar. At the very least employees should be treated as individuals and with respect - not always the case sadly.
Not saying it's the same for everyone but as each situation happened I became less stressed as to the outcome. Fingers crossed that you and your colleagues (and no doubt a few good friends amongst them) find suitable employment - being elected by your fellow workers says a lot about you and the high regard they must hold you in.
Best of luck mate.

Kingpin got a reaction from Kathcairns in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
I think even a lot of tech lovers/all ages still want their card. The option of both should always be there. Much like cash/contactless etc.

Kingpin reacted to Rambam in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
Agreed. Someone said to me yesterday why don’t we just carry on ordering our tickets for each game onto our phones. It’s dead easy.
Er, no. A proportion of older fans just want their season ticket safely in their wallet, so they can just travel to the ground and get easy access.

Kingpin reacted to Ellafella in Arthur Cox (no, he's not dead!)
Worth bumping this; AC appearance will raise morale for all Derby fans given the situation.

Kingpin reacted to plymouthram in Arthur Cox (no, he's not dead!)
Arthur will be 82 on the 14th December, we play Blackpool at home on the 11th, Someone at the club should organise a early Birthday pressie for him and make him the honourable matchday guest.

We don’t want any “ Where’s your caravan “ chants. It might bring back the gypsy curse.

Any future transactions with local suppliers, such as Roadrider (or whichever bus companies supply that) are simply going to want cash up front.
Any future football Club dealing with us is going to want cash up front.
This Is Mel’s Legacy.
