The game is a write off. No chance of a result.
Think I’ll tell the wife the county ground as got a retractable roof, don’t want her thinking I should be doing stuff at home if the cricket is off😀

Sussex have been deducted 12 points, and Pujara has been suspended for our game which starts tomorrow.
Looking at the weather forecast we won’t be starting until Thursday or Friday

I don't know if old people had much say about sugar in food. Their views have been ignored on much bigger issues.
I think musical taste is determined when you are young. If you've been brought up on a diet of loud electric guitar you are never going to be satisfied with something like lute music. Most people stick to what they like. I know very few people would enjoy the music I like but that doesn't bother me.
I like to listen to music without any distractions. For me it is not something I have on in the background. It makes me happy. However, it could be that music from a different musical genre might make me even happier. But what if the music from a different genre damages my hearing and stops me enjoying the music I like now. There is so much music in my own genre that I haven't even listened to yet that I haven't got time to explore other genres.
If you are content why change? Perhaps the woman next door could give me more pleasure than my wife, but why would I risk changing things and ruining what I have? I like plain food like porridge. I've never eaten Chinese food. Perhaps spicy food would give me more pleasure than my plain fare but it might also cause digestive problems or put me off my wife's cooking. Who knows what could happen.
Many of the bad things in this world (drugs, porn, etc) are caused by people looking for new sources of excitement. Be content with what you have. You don't need all the extra stuff.
We’d still be living in caves if people never changed how they lived, just do what you do and if that makes you happy fine don’t worry about what other people do as long as they’re not harming anybody else I don’t see a problem we are all different

It tells us - If we don’t go up , we will be in competition with other League One teams for their signatures. If we go up , apart from a couple of them , we will need a total re-build to hold our own. Possibly £20 mill for 3 decent players . David Clowes will have to find the money as Sky don’t give you the extra cash up front.
I’ve had quite enough of chairmen throwing silly money buying players. if we go down that route we’ll soon be having another march

I didn’t think we were allowed to offer long contracts while we are/were under a transfer embargo I may be wrong

Anyone watched Hatton documentary?
Yes, I watched it last week good documentary and quite sad really, I wouldn’t trust Ray Hatton as far as I could throw him

It still counts 👀🤣
He’s played 4 list A games in his career. A part of the hundred that seems overlooked as the best white ball players aren’t playing that format. When the England ODI team is awful because it’s full of players who don’t know how to play the format, there will probably be some expensive reports commissioned to work out the problem….
I’ve been saying for a while all England supporters will be moaning in 5 years time when we’re useless at 50 over cricket

Even if he is leaving, if he plays, I reckon he’d be the first Derbyshire player to play for England since Dominic Cork.
which is quite a depressing stat.
It’s very much a 2nd string England squad for the Ireland series, not sure he’s got 10 overs in him

The pitch is a road. Takes a little spin but a competent team should be able to bat out a draw.
We will be all out by tea
I hope the roads in Scarborough are better than the pot hole riddled ones in Derby

Funny how some seem to think Rosenior played good football here. Pass, pass, pass, pass, lose ball, concede goal etc etc
Zero goals and points from the first 4 away games last season wasn’t it?
Zero goals but I think a couple of the games were draws
-
I don’t know whether Warne is the answer or not but there comes a point where we’ve got to give a manager time, if you include Wassall and Rosenior we’ve had 10 managers since the start of the 2015/16 season

I think people exaggerated how easy it was for Smith in the first fight. He didn't start well and although the KO wasn't "lucky" like Jnr claimed, you could sense Jnr could get to Smith.
Jnr tends to fall into traps because he's a bully. But when he uses his brain he's underrated. He would never trouble prime GGG or Canelo as he claimed. But he gets so easily dismissed as many find him and his approach to boxing so repulsive
I knew he could beat Smith. A third fight would be good but I'm not sure they'll do it. Jnr needed that revenge to move forward and Smith doesn't need to be losing to a guy people openly mock for not being a serious boxer. The cost of another loss is greater than the reward of winning.
Jnr will waste this win though. He would sooner call Brook or Benn out than crack on to get world titles I imagine. Or BJS is coming back apparently so he will probably have one eye on that.
The only person who troubled a prime GGG was Adalaide Byrd

Both fighters spoke well after the fight, Eubank often speaks like a prat after fights and not just his own, think the penny may have dropped with him and he’s realised it’s better to let his boxing do the talking
-
Fair play to Eubank he boxed his ears off won every round before the stoppage made smith look pedestrian. Eubank was quicker to the punch and wasn’t reckless Smith was never going to knock him out tonight

It wasn’t me I’ve got a 2010 Clio that keeps being overtaken by scrotes on those bloody scooters

Thing is, when a player on the scoring team picks the ball up after a goal and then runs hell for leather to place it on the centre spot, does it really lead to the game restarting any quicker? I doubt it in most cases.
I don’t think it does at all if the team that conceded want to walk to the centre spot to kick off they can do no matter how quickly the team that scored get the ball back to the centre spot. All this wrestling for the ball after a goal is a waste of effort in my opinion

Talking of next season I’ve had an email from Derbyshire today saying season ticket prices have been frozen for 2024
