  1. So far I’ve got first 2 rounds no one threw a punch so even

Zhang wins rounds 3&8 by 10-8 and I’ve got Parker winning all the other rounds so I’ve got Parker in front after 10 rounds

Parker needs 3 of the last 4. Every time he's started to kick on he's been tagged.

I agree with you but I wouldn’t try and second guess how boxing is judged now

  3. Just tuned into the boxing expecting to catch the ring walk for AJ fight. I take it they’re running late as Parker/zhang about to start so that’s a bonus but I’ll probably fall asleep and miss the main event.

sounds like I’ve missed some great judging again

Having read the amazing  biography of his life... I'd hope he has a fair few more miles on the clock than you though!

I’ve had it rough mate I was at Royce’s virtually all my working life😀

Unlike a lot of the other "Youtube boxing" fights, this announcement has gone down like a lead balloon. As it should. Fighting a near-pensioner is embarrassing. They even used an old picture of Tyson for the poster to make it look more legitimate.

Can people stop saying Tyson as nearly qualified for a bus pass or is a near pensioner he bloody younger than me (just), and what’s wrong with using an old picture of yourself 😀

Mike Tyson still intimidating as ever.

I wonder how many opponents had lost before the first bell. He's an animal. I hope he lets loose on Paul and doesn't play his part in the show. Probably got about 5 good minutes in him but 5 mins with THAT?!

Most of Tyson’s opponents were beaten before they got in the ring until he got beat by Buster Douglas, after that he lost that aura he had. Tyson’s lifestyle affected his boxing ability he had lightening speed of punch as well power. Tyson’s drinking and whatever else he was up to made him lose his speed. However I’d still take a prime Lennox Lewis to beat prime Tyson, although they’re around the same age they peaked at different times. Would still love iron mike to give Jake Paul a good hiding

You may have been following the discussion on the season ticket thread.

Now that Daniel's seat is secured for his sister, can we fundraise instead for a flag for B4 as a permanent memorial and reminder of his presence at the stadium.

Maybe @David could help with the fundraising and we could ask Simon Penney to help with the flag, or someone else if anyone knows anybody?

    What do people think?

    I’ll happily donate

Was good against Barnsley.  Their centre half wasn't keen on coming out when Sibley was pressing.  We looked ragged and he had ten yards around him when he came off.

I went to Barnsley nobody was good😀

Interesting quote from Mickey Arthur in his preseason interview.

“We’ve invested in our bowling attack and our batters are now at a point where they can play on any surface. I’m not suggesting we suddenly play on green tops, but we can trust Neil (Godrich, Head Groundsman) to give us the sort of pitch which, if we play well enough on it, will give us the opportunity to win games at Derby. Neil is one of us; he’s part of my team, and an important part.”

Hopefully a bit more in the pitch for the bowlers this season, and some more interesting cricket at HQ.

I don’t think we’ve won a Championship game at the county ground whilst Mickey Arthur as been head coach and I think we may have lost just one in that time. The wickets have been far to batter friendly it will be interesting to see the wicket when the season starts, I would imagine it’s been difficult for the ground staff with the amount of rain we’ve had this winter

Renewed 3 season tickets for just over £800 on Monday.

Regardless of the the division we’re in I don’t want to see Warne walking out at Pride Park in August.

What about if Warne were forests manager and we play them at home in August in the championship 😀

I'm finding the build-up quite funny. I feel like they'll be good mates after it's done. There's no hate or disrespect there at all.

There’s not much genuine hate or disrespect between most fighters, most of what you do see is fabricated to sell tickets or PPV

What do we think of Wardley vs (Burton-born) Clarke?

Don’t particularly rate either of them could go either way but can’t see either getting much above fighting for a British title, European title at a push

Agreed. It's horrible to watch any boxing great go too long, not just for their legacy, but more importantly for their health.

He's a bona fide great. I think nearly everyone agreed that he took the first fight with Canelo. The second I didn't think he did enough to get a decision in a title fight, but the 'loss' was marginal. It's a shame that in recent years us fans end up talking about the scoring as much as the fights themselves. Fans and the fighters themselves even more so, deserve better.

I think Adelaide Byrd scored the first GGG v Canelo 10/2 for Canelo she should’ve never been allowed to judge a fight again

    Looks like GGG has retired.

Good. Before somebody he would have whooped 5 years ago manages to outpoint him by being young and fresh.

Loved GGG fantastic all action fighter got robbed for definite in Canelo first fight and I don’t think he lost the second fight either although it was closer than the first fight

Should always go for a beer or some food after the game if travelling by train. Let the mouthy dick heads pretend to be hard gobbling off at rival fans and plod, cram into the first 3or4 trains, then you can relax on the later trains with access to the piss pot and seat .

Our group of 12 left on the 8.29 to Sheffield/Barnsley, when we arrived in Barnsley a local copper met us off the train and said we wouldn’t be allowed in any pubs in Barnsley and advised us where to go. We walked into the town centre and straight into the local Wetherspoons no problem at all. We were in there for about 4 hours with a mixture of rams and Barnsley fans with no trouble at all. After the game we walked back into the town centre to watch the end of the England/Scotland rugby. We left  about 8ish and got the train back no problem. It sounds like we made the right decision regarding the trains

Ah yes.  I remember now.  You asked me to nip in for you, as you only looked 12, where as I already had a fuzzy 'tache.
It was the same in pubs.  I got fed up of having to keep bringing you a packet of crisps out to the garden!

I had just turned 15 when the 80/81 season started (when the we’ll be back tee shirts came out) If memory serves me right you were returning your “girlfriend” back to the sex shop as you’d punctured her whilst giving her a love bite

I came that close to tagging you in to my query.  I feel a tad stupid for not doing.  I convinced myself you only had "Official/quality/replicas etc, and changed my mind, putting "Surely not" instead!  I should have known better!  😁

I'm still go gonna out on a limb and... despite my infamously lousy memory... suggest mine was yellow (🤷‍♂️), so that appears to also clear up my colour option query too!

Great work sir... as always!  🍻

Ooh... just realised... I'm still convinced mine said "We'll be back in '81"?  Or was that just the chant of the era?  🤷‍♂️

They did yellow tee shirts as well as white

Going back to earlier comments in another thread by @uttoxram75... if I may...

Thought it more appropriate to continue in here...

1/  Does anyone still have a "We'll be back in 81" Tee shirt stashed away somewhere?  Surely not?  🤷‍♂️
2/  I really miss mine!  I so wish I'd saved it for posterity... (Dare I say more so than any specific actual replica shirt I still have)...as low quality as they were... and as factually incorrect as they proved to be!  🤣
3/  Pretty certain mine was yellow.  Were they all the same, or was there options for different colours?  I honestly don't remember.
4/  I presume they were "unofficial merch"?  I'd guess they weren't stocked in The Ramtique?  Honestly don't recall where I got mine from! 🤷‍♂️  Someone must have made a killing, as they were damn popular, albeit short-lived!
4/  Also pretty certain they came out before the season's end (but already confirmed as relegated, obvs).  I'm damn sure I was wearing mine as we clambered up the vandal-greased cages into the rafters at Carrow Road, to hail our failed heroes long after the final whistle (until they sent in the dogs to clear us all out!).  #differentera!  #buthappytimesthough, yeah?

    Memories, anyone?

    🐏

I had the white we’ll be back in 81 shirt and I did get it from the ramtique that was then across from the Neptune, I seem to remember you coming out of the sex shop next to the ramtique as I was going into the ramtique 😀

RD’s not been worth listening to ever since the woke mob got rid of Craig Ramage’s valuable insights

I like it when he used to turn into the Alvaston Bob Dylan during the Mac 1 days

    “There’s something special ‘appenin ‘ere”

(He’d say this after we’d just beaten Cardiff 1-0 on a Tuesday night or something equally innocuous)

I used to play football for the blue Peter in the late 80’s early 90’s when Craig was playing for the rams, he was always at the bar reciting poetry and quoting Shakespeare

    That wasn't the conversation.

He was ok, but not much more. He was as likely to hit one over the Ossie End roof as into the net, and his control could be atrocious at times.

His record of 50 goals in 188 games was hardly prolific, and any legendary status he has now (which is debatable) is more down to his attitude, work rate and clear fondness for Derby.

H was the anti-Kitson who had a higher goal per-game rate and was more skilful, but was sulky and lazy.

Gabbiadinis second touch was usually a tackle, that’s why he looked like he worked hard.

Kitson was a technically a better player but always came across as a miserable sod

Taylor Catterall 2 is at 140 again?

I'm surprised at that. I thought weight was one of the reasons Taylor said he underperformed no? Might have made that up.

Still think he'll do the business but he has to find his way past that awkward defence.

Sandy Ryan back next month in a good fight. She's sparring Clarissa Shields in preparation

Yeah, Taylor said he wouldn’t be fighting at 140 again after the first Catterall fight , since then he’s fought at ...... 140

Sandy Ryan is fighting Terri Harper should be a decent fight, she was robbed in her last fight against mccaskill I had her winning 8 of the 10 rounds somehow it was scored a draw. It will be interesting how Sandy fights without Clifton Mitchell training her for the first time

Joe Root could well have cost England this test with a moment of madness.

India a bowler short and looking clueless then he lets them in.

His dismissals this series are indicative of a scrambled mind.

Joe Root as always scored quickly he as no need to play any differently to how he’s always played
