I love playing three centre backs, two defensive midfielders and a LB who has absolutely no idea what to do as a wingback and subsequently offers nothing.
Weve basically gone from playing Collins to playing another CB.
The football is just so bad and clueless.

2 year contract extension for Zak Chappell.
Had a good first season, particularly in the T20.

Shocking in this day and age that a stand with restricted view seats is still built.

The restrictions of the BP are in place for the rest of this season.  I think he wasn’t anticipating we would need to make any further signings this season but now that we do we need to comply with the BP.  He did say they had to agree the Nyambe deal with the EFL, which was a similar situation.
Otherwise, when it comes to the next window we can operate the same as any other club.  That’s my take on it anyway.

Anyone confused? Radio Derby/Eric Steel said we changed the formation? I didn’t we think we did - we just bought on Smith and moved Bird forward but it was always being backs.
The only thing we probably did was told NML to go out wide a bit more?
Did we go to four at the back? Was Elder (who I thought was awful) or Cashin Left Back?
It’s going to be a long run in.

"There is also a high level medical presence at games. The days of a couple of St John Ambulance volunteers are long gone and now there are three doctors and a full paramedic team on hand for emergencies to the tune of almost £400,000."

They put on their website that home tickets would only be sold to fans with previous buying history cos Derby are expected to sell out the away end and then try to get tickets in the home end.

You've underestimated a lot. For example, back in 2019, Boro paid £3.7m in rates, VAT, utilities and insurance. We also know utility rates have sky rocketted since then - add another £1m minimum to that figure. We're basicallly talking £5m, where your estimate is just £1m!
You also missed off matchday doctors/paramedics - another £400k
There's another £2m+ on maintenance and cleanign of the stadium and training ground.

    David Lloyd 👀
He’s probably not going to score du Plooy’s volume of runs, but he will get his share, helped by going back into the middle order here rather than opening the batting out of necessity at Glamorgan the last couple of years.
Nothing yet. With the T20 world cup running around the same time as T20 blast, it’s probably making things a bit awkward. I much prefer getting a player for the whole season but wouldn't be surprised if it's several players for short stings this season.

Totally agree.  I seem to remember an interview with David Clowes (can’t remember if it was just after he’d taken over or the one last summer) but he said something along the lines of SP being very good at his job and he’s being allowed to do his job.  David Clowes obviously trusts him or he wouldn’t be here.

Sorry, I know I’ve brought this up before but I have a real issue here. Half way through this season they moved them onto the inside of the advertising boards - great - a sensible move employed by a number of clubs in the country.
Today all of a sudden they’re back on the wrong side. Most of them are scared petrified just to climb over to get a ball. How many times today was Wildsmith wasting time fetching a ball or a ball just gets knocked out of play and just keeps trundling down the side of the pitch.
Sorry but we, like any football club should be employment every tactic to get a 1% improvement. We want to win our home games - get the ball back into play as soon as possible, so get the ball to our players when it’s a Derby ball immediately!

Every now and then I am bewildered by decisions made by the club.

Sorry, I don’t get that at all. It shouldn’t be their “dream day out” they are there to do a fairly simple job for which I assume they receive some instructions. If it was a one off opportunity at somewhere like Wembley then I could understand it but not when they are there every other week at PP (I assume it’s the same kids. If I’m wrong then ignore the rest of this post and the criticism should be levelled at the club). If the kids are too young to deal with such a task then fair enough, the club should use older boys and girls, but they look old enough to me. Regarding having criticism thrown at them, I agree no one should be shouting at them and abusing them at the game (although there is nowt wrong with a bit of “come on, get a move on”) but I don’t see anything wrong with criticism them on a forum like this.
