My question regarding if they would travel to Preston the day before was just me thinking about how long sat on a coach before it would have a detrimental effect on the players. I guess Preston is about 2.5 hours so I guess they would probably go on the day. Maybe leave about 10 am.
Overnight stop agreed by the administrators according to the Percy article

If does have the bottle to come up to Pride Park, I can see him going home in a bin.
We don’t think MR P is uniformed we know he is. He ought to get treatment for his delusions and obsessive behaviour

Could have played him instead of buying in Butterfield that season.
Wrong season. Butterfield was a 2015 signing.

Preston Tickets now £5 for home and away fans. Fans who have bought already can donate the difference or claim a refund.

I was all aboard the Mike Ashley hate train thanks to media portrayal but had to stop and think what has he actually done that is so terrible.... and it turns out I can't find much, apparently the biggest issue was the Pardew eight year contract, which is bonkers but not head-chopping-off-other-owners comparable.
Ok, Newcastle got relegated under his tenure (twice was it?) but straight back up they went, he allowed Rafa to leave whilst they were in the Championship (I mean come on, keeping Rafa in the Championship would surely be an easy task??) and has run the club on an even keel.......
Geordies to me seem to think they're self entitled to a top 6 finish every year.
Rafa didn’t leave when they were in the Champ. He left a couple of seasons later I believe

Arsenal & Man Utd are bigger clubs than Newcastle anyway, not sure why they're being compared
Arsenal haven't been outside of the top division since 1919 and have won the league 13 times since Newcastle last won it (10 of those pre-PL) . If their fans are moaning about not challenging for the title that's quite a lot more valid. Of 117 seasons they've played only 13 seasons (11%) were at Level 2 with 9 of those pre-1904!
Man Utd 1have spent 19% of their history at level 2 with only 2 of their previous 78 seasons spent there, winning the league 18 times since Newcastle last won it (5 times pre-PL). Again there's far more reason why they could feel entitled.
Newcastle have spent 24% of their history at level 2 and haven't won the league since 1927. They're not in the same bracket.
If we make it more recent and look at what's happened since Derby last won the league, Newcastle have spent 12/46 seasons at level 2, Arsenal 0/46, Man Utd 0/46.
I’d prefer you to take it from when we first won the league and put that relegation on Manure’s record ?

Don't let the facts get in the way! ? The EFL won't lose face - there's not a chance they'll change their mind unless there's some legal action which will open a massive can of worms as all the other clubs will be able to sue... So my point is, it's not about the relative merits of our case, it's just that they can't / won't change the ruling. In my opinion, of course.
Not the EFL to decide though it’s the Independent panel

Ashley hasn’t been in touch with the Administrators so far according to the Telegraph and Sky Sports so think he can be removed from the list for now

All valid points.
But these clubs with parachute payments have much much bigger wage bills than ours, the club's coming up would have increased their wage bill and spent money in transfers.
Yes we could have been affected more based on our attendances being sold high and how heavily reliant on ticket sales we are. But so is everyone.
Why aren't Forest in administration because of Covid? Same length of time in this League, no parachute payments, big attendances. No sign of them going into administration.
Have you seen Forests accounts ? They are atrocious even taking into account the “legal” transfers between the 2 clubs with the same owner. He is apparently losing patience as he thought he would be in the Prem by now. Don’t think it will be long before they and a few others will be far behind DCFC in the financial do do.

Ashley is a long, long way from being the most disreputable owner in English football. He's certainly not my ideal, but If you want to wait around for a model, squeeky-clean bidder, you might have a long wait and, in the meantime, DCFC in its current form will be no more.
For allegedly worse disreputable owners you don’t have to travel far up the A52 …..

Can anyone give us any idea that at what point would Liquidation be unavoidable?

Completely at a loss as to why we didn't apply for the Covid loan? Mel must be in a world of his own! Beats me that he allowed Hartlepool to keep all the money from our cup match the other year. Looking at it they were better off at the time than us!
Or maybe DCFC were informed that the application would be rejected by the EFL. Answers depends on what question is asked and sometimes a “ truthful “ answer doesn’t reveal the full story. All speculation though.

Over optimistic on installments I’d say .
Would you want to pay 28 Million in installments along with all the other debt .
Gone up by 8 million in a week or so must be a massive interest rate.

My Daughter is an Offshore Senior VAT Analyst, She investigates those who have serious wealth but fail to pay their Tax liabilities, I spoke to her about this a few weeks ago, This was her reply...not Verbatum.
DCFC would have had an HMRC adviser working with them before Administration, Since Administration there will be a team with the Administraters trying to come to an amicable conclusion, Liquidation is in the background simply as a threat/bullying tactic, She said and I quote..."HMRC would be Fu**ing stupid to seek Liquidation", There will be 100s of outlying jobs that depend on DCFCs future carrying on, Unfortunately there's businesses that will not be paid and if DCFC pull through this DCFC will want to approach AGAIN those said businesses, So it will be on a CASH only basis...at a guess.
So in essense HMRC could score an own goal if they seek Liquidation, Loss of Tax revenue from those indirectly/directly involved, 10s of 1000s of locals who would be up in arms with HMRC.
Now unfortunately DCFC are dealing with Civil Servents that will not or fail to see the bigger picture, They are there as Government employees and the Government are there equelly to represent the Tax Payer, If you can consider the Billions of £s that are flushed down the toilet at the stroke of a pen by Civil Servents over the years...£25million aint a fortune.
It's better to have a small piece of the pie than nowt.
And a piece of that pie going forward as a functioning entity so HRMC get funds from the on going new DCFC
