I think the title sums it up how I think certain fans think.
No matter what happened, Nigel Clough was never good enough for Derby County. No matter what will happen, Paul Warne will never be seen as good enough for Derby County.
Clough reset the club after the worst season any of us could imagine, it took time on a limited budget but he lay the path for what Mclaren should have achieved. Warne is the next one trying to build something long term.
Sorry, I just don’t get the entitlement

He was at the game as he didn't consider there were enough random threads about Paul Warnes future on here so he thought he'd try and be helpful and encourage forum members to generate a few more.
    Ooops.

As less than 180 have cast a vote it also shows how polls are pointless unless a reasonable number of people have taken part.

We have very different recollections, Clough served up negative terrible football, he's happy not to lose,  I don't spend my hard earmed on hoping for a draw.  His father said he had no ambition and he was right.
I was close to giving up my Season Ticket under his stewardship.....  The crowds dropped massively during his time, says it all really!!!!

This is taken from Owen Bradleys comments on the BBC Sports website:-
The decision by the club will come as a surprise to some, but supporters have become increasingly frustrated by poor performances at home - despite some encouraging displays away.
Nigel Clough steered Derby through some difficult times after one woeful season in the Premier League, but the board have clearly decided he cannot take them any further.

Well lots of posters are saying it was a much improved performance and we should have won easily. You thought it was so bad you aren't going again until Warne has gone.
I don't your reasons that we "should be top 2, simple as that" but feel these expectations might be driving you dissatisfaction somewhat.

Exactly! Listened to Colin Gibson's post match thoughts regarding the fact that Warne doesn't really appear to rate some of Rosenior's signings but obviously can't say so.The players who currently beat the brunt of most of our frustrations are Collins,NML and Smith-all LR signings.Contracts for Hourihane,Smith,NML,Collins,Barks and Sibley expire next June and I won't miss any of them.Cashin and Bird ,however, will be big losses but that's where we are as a club, sadly.Fornah,Nelson and Nyambe are good additions and Ward,Wilson and Elder, when fit, should improve us.Like many others I feel frustrated but expecting instantaneous success after what we've been through is totally unrealistic. It took Fergie, the greatest,5 seasons to get it right at Utd!!
Warne is getting a lot of criticism, some of it well over the top,but I won't sit in "judgment" until the squad is full of his signings and not one where he's trying to get the best out of several players who are past there sell by date and only here because we were desperate for bodies and offering the chance of one last decent pay day.

Not with the chances created that we missed. Chances that on another day would go in.

Best performance of the season by an absolute mile, but final touch wasn’t there. I just hope that we don’t throw the baby out with the bath water based on us not winning this game. We suffocated a capable Cambridge side to absolutely no opportunities due to a controlled, concise approach. The final ball lacked, individually not good enough, but the set up and system is one for much promise.
So, so much better and a progressive performance. I can see a ton more promise with what I saw today than our usual approach of trying to turn the game into a basketball match.

Please don’t say we’re only so many places off the play offs.

We should be top 2 - simple as that.

we are that bad that we won’t make play offs at this rate. Why would we when we can’t score against Cambridge at home. 0-0 against Cambridge FFS who have even less than us up front.

Please don’t be happy with a draw at home to Cambridge.

Performance was much better but the final ball and finishing was missing massively, on another day we win that 2 or 3 nil. Waggys header was a sitter, he had to score. We seem to have struggled vs half decent teams who just sit in at Pride Park, even under McClaren we had games like today.
The booing after the game was at the ref, there were chants to him after the boos & he was booed again as he walked down the tunnel.
As for Warne's post match interview, what he actually said was we was getting joy down the sides (which we were) but then decided to try & force passes through the middle (which we did) but thats where all Cambridge numbers were so it didnt work & that we should have kept going out wide as that was working....not sure how anyone can disagree with that? Everytime we went through the middle we lost the ball, Waggy barely madr himself available but we looked a threat when we got the ball out wide.
Nyambe & Nelson looked rock solid at the back & Fornah was brilliant in centre mid, the sort of player we have been missing. Id be tempted with him & Bird in the 2 with Hourihane in the 10 as he has the quality on the ball to score or create around the edge of the box.
1 loss in 7, 3 clean sheets in a row & the squad starting to get back fit - lets see how we look when we have the likes of Bird, Hourihane, Ward & JJ fully fit & available.
I do however think some fans wont be happy regardless of what happens on the pitch whilst Warne is in charge. Even if we won the league they would moan about something.

He's a disgrace to this football club.
I think the fans can put up with midtable if they can see us trying to play actual football & bringing through youngsters & can see progress.
Warne isnt a long or short term solution. His football & tactics are terrible & i have no trust in him to take us forward or have another transfer window.
    Its worse than Phil Brown

Started well enough and should probably have put this to bed inside 45 minutes. Lost our way in the last 30 and ultimately a disappointing and frustrating result. I'd hoped for more to be honest, against modest opposition and at home. We need to click and click soon, or things will turn toxic in a hurry.

    Hi Everyone.
I’m looking for some suggestions on how I can maximise the fundraising potential of a new Derby shirt which is signed by the first team squad. I have been told that it will be done when the players next sign items at Moor Farm.
I have signed up for the Everest Base Camp trek in November 2024 through working for the Co-op and our charity is Barnardo’s.
I’m currently busy trying to reach my target of £6000, if any of you would like to share and donate to my Just Giving page.
    Thank you.

Sheffield United only have to take 1 point every 3 games to equal our record.
When you say that I still can't believe now how we contrived to generate that points tally.
    It'll never be beaten.
