Given that our material assets equate to the square root of bugger all it's hardly surprising that we don't have investors kicking our door down wanting to pay to take on board existing debts that Morris welched on before he chucked the club into administration 

The biggest material asset we have is the "Golden Share".
This is a financial liability to any owner, unless the club is in the Premier League - in which case it becomes either a benefit or double the liability, dependent upon how the club is run.

Agree with your sentiments however you've made the fatal flaw of quoting a players transfer fee to support the quality of that player and whether they're an international or not.
Eddie Lewis, Butterfield, 50p head Claude et al all go to dispel that link.
Chris Martin was one of our best players over the past decade and we got him for nowt.

I agree (see later post) no bidder will likely offer enough to satisfy all creditors and that will likely mean -15 points but calling out liquidation when there are still parties involved is extremely presumptious and premature. The fact buyers are involved still despite our dire situation is positive and leads me to think (again personal opinion) a deal will be struck and we won’t be liquidated.
The article also creates hysteria around where the Jozwiak money as gone. Most people on this forum and those connected with the club and likely the bidders knew what would happen to the Jozwiak money so there is no “additional blow”.

That could work although the result would probably influence a number of ratings. There's little point adding a ref rating for the final nine matches but it's one for @sage to consider when he resumes his role as Ratings Curator next season.

You are right to be sceptical of Nixon, and his contribution here was garbled as always. But the gist of it is consistent with previous reports.. there was a big instalment due earlier this year on Jozwiak. That would leave around £5.5 million total of all transfer fees outstanding.. the £8.3 m offiically reported in the statement of affairs in November less transfer instalments paid  since then , principally on Jozwiak and Bielik. The same wonky report in the Daily Telegraph that first quoted the £8m outstanding amount on Bielik also said there was a £1.4 m instalment due in October, and that was deferred by arsenal until January. Now paid I believe.    

So £5.5 million would be my estimate of total fees now outstanding. Most of that for Bielik, the rest for Jozwiak.
