Of course, Rooney’s job is safe while we are in administration.
But if a takeover is on course for January, one would imagine Rooney has an eight-week audition.
He has to keep us within touching distance of safety.
I can’t imagine the new owners being overly sentimental as it’s their investment at stake and quite a financial burden they are taking on too. They are surely looking to protect their interests.
We are a far more attractive proposition if we can somehow remain in the Championship and can go again with many of our issues behind us.

Maybe I am missing some important piece of history involving RamsTrust, but just seems to me that it is getting an absolute (and at times quite personal) bashing from people on here who, by their own admission, know nothing about them or the people involved.
Is it not just a group of supporters who are trying to go about protecting the interests of the club and its fan base? Likely putting in a lot of work/effort for next to no personal gain? What did this group do that it’s got about people’s knickers in a such a twist? Seems like some see this forum as the sanctum of this clubs fan base instead. Maybe there’s a bit of jealousy in there, too.
Imagine what it would be like if everyone on this forum joined RamsTrust. God help @RamsfanJimand @angieram if that happens.

Whoaaaa. We only have Nixon saying they are proposing to change the rules, and he added that would be after Derby’s case had been heard. So Derby are not being affected by this “possible’ change of rules, and if there is a rule change Derby will have a vote with the other 71 member clubs as to whether the rule is adopted. Would that not be a more accurate assessment of where we are at the moment?

I understand that you weren’t advocating such an approach. I was just saying in my career, and I have experience of disciplinary and appeal hearings ( fortunately never as the accused), I have never come across it as an HR policy and would be surprised if the unions allowed it.

I have given you a like because I agree with amost everything, but the EFL rules and regs are all approved by the member clubs aren't they? Are the EFL not just implementing policies which the member clubs have agreed ?

Maybe in normal businesses, but an appeal against an administration punishment cannot be worsened under the current rules.

Just a point of correction. I was talking about disciplinary action which of course relates to staff not customers. However, I also worked on a cross divisional complaint handling project for two banks and the same would apply. There is no way that a customer complaining would result in them being in a worse position than before if their complaint wasn’t upheld.

I accept that @Tyler Durden says he has worked for companies that adopt the HR policy he has described. I’m just astonished that it exists especially in large multi nationals.
    Anyway, we have digressed somewhat.

If you draw comparisons with the CPS putting cases forward that they think they can win then that doesn't always mean that they do get a positive outcome - they can't predict what will transpire during the court case and ultimately the result is dependent on 12 members of the public.
If the administrators didn't think there was enough evidence to support an appeal then they wouldn't have progressed it, simple as.
Still doesn't mean that we will be successful though.

The standard of officiating in the EFL is extremely variable and uneven which is probably the least divisive way of putting it.
I don't think we've been particularly subjected to more bad decisions than any other team in the division per se, it's nearly November now so putting the points deduction aside I think our "real" league position is a fair reflection of where we are as a team and manager.

Been off work for over 2 months with things being a real struggle one way or the other.
Ran nearly 3.5 miles for the first time in about 5 months wasn't easy and had to walk for a couple of times but did it.

I really don’t get why people are so up tight. It feels like some people have got a vendetta against the club’s official supporters group. I can’t put my finger on it but some of them are decent humorous posters, others I probably would expect.
Other things I have seen is people holding a grudge going back 15 years or more. Good grief!! Time moves on the only people I know who grasp onto things from the past have extra fingers and toes.
I suppose everyone has their opinion but I for one would like to think as supporters of the same club we all have some common ground to start with.

If people aren’t happy with something why not have a constructive discussion about where you think it went wrong and what could be done better rather than completely dismissing everything going forward.

Sorry to read that life has been a struggle for a while, Tyler. Running that distance would finish me off, but I know several people who swear that running and exercise in general, lifts their mood and keeps them sane. Well done
The last time I remember running long and hard was about 40 years ago. I was in competition with a very large and angry bull. It was touch and go for a while, but pleased to say that I won the race (and the highjump).?

It's all about the balance in the team isn't it, I mean there's not like a proportional link between the number of strikers you play and the goals you would expect - play 2 strikers instead of one and you expect to get 50% more goals and so on.
