Just be mindful please that we've just gone past World Mental Health Day and that not everyones brain is wired in the same way as another persons.....so if someone is posting perceived negative comments then they should not be made out as as a pariah and their views respected in the same manner as someone who could be posting consistently wildly optimistic material. 

Cynically I think that that if the points deduction appeal fails or isn't markedly reduced then the new owners will allow Rooney to carry on until the end of the season as our relegation to League 1 will be seen as a fait accompli with the view that there will be a wider pool of replacements available in the summer and time to sound them out and make plans accordingly.

In what way were we cutting costs? Post lampard we signed rooney on huge wages, and almost over 10 million for bieliek and jozwiak. and please don't come to me saying it was in installments, you still have to pay it.
I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE people have actually brought the COVID BS. it is unbelievable to me people are that naive, and it's naive to think the authorities will be that way inclined too. we are the ONLY club that has gone into admin "because of covid", just happens that we were pissing away money the years before that - but that has nothing to do with it! It is like when we were the only club in the country to not sell season tickets "because of covid", you ever think there is more to it? it is widely laughed at across the football world that we are blaming it on covid.
for the love of god people, wake up! I am sick to death of all this off field nonsense and defending people that have no right to be defended. the club has been run into the ground, stop making excuses for them.

Yes, there is no straightforward answer. I think he deserves a chance with a level playing field but i am sure there are better managers out there. It may depend on who is available at the time. I wouldn't sack him then start looking. It may sound harsh but i would be scouting for possible alternatives and may launch a 'pre emptive strike' if someone outstanding came up.

You're entitled to your opinion on Curtis as a CB. Although personally I think you're way too harsh on a man who has played well overall this season...remember him away at West Brom? His distribution has also improved, testament to hard work off the field & willingness to improve even at his age.
But what I'm struggling with are your snipes at his character in this thread, one such example quoted above. This is a man who waived his insurance to play for us in that last game decider v Sheffield Wednesday that kept us up. This is a man who when our backs are against the wall, is the first guy to get his head on the ball, time & time again.
Curtis Davies is a top man, a credit to this club & deserves a damn sight better than your disrespect, just because he's had a rough game.

Might, but because MM had financially mismanaged the club, Derby couldn't find a buyer quickly enough and there was no leeway then to continue. His shenanigans are why the club is where it is, the only one that has gone into administration. Does anyone truly believe that this is down to covid on its own?

Surely it's stating the obvious that the management team haven't given up yet? Current form is poor and we're in a precarious position but, it's only November and we're not (yet) cut completely adrift from safety.
Also, the club have a financial, as well as moral, duty to try and stay up.
There may come a time when the chances of staying up are so remote (we're not yet in a position of requiring snookers) that the management team may have an eye on seriously preparing for league one football next season but, whilst ever there is some hope of staying up, I would fully expect everyone of keeping going.

@Big Trav if you were looking for token love and appreciation you should have spent your money in Barnsley going to a brothel.
For what worth, I think this set of players do genuinely care about the club and performance. They are just not very good. In my view we currently only have 5 proper footballers. The two centre backs and our big No. 9 are, however, all some 5 years or more past their prime, Morrison is an enigma, and Bird is only 20/21. I have hopes Knight might make a footballer too, but he does need to work on his quality.
To turn on our players now is a travesty Trav. Get behind them. They are not very good, but they are what we have. If you want to be irked, focus your thoughts on the bloke who left us in this complete mess.

Always thought Lawrence was a really weird choice for club captain.
Thought one of the pre requisites was leading by example...in retrospect that probably explains a lot about the recent performances....

That was Mel's masterplan  - rely on the administrators when all else fails.
