Obviously Jutkiewics will score, 10% of his career goals are against Derby
however, Sibley will bag a brace for 2-1
-
Anyone know if we have a sell on clause? 10% of a significant fee could be club saving

I think you will find be likes of mengi and laim delap be park of signings.
Or perhaps take over about to happen 4th time of asking.
Yeah a few loans wouldn’t go amiss, that’s true. Especially in positions where our lads aren’t ready yet

8 seems a bit unnecessary
Certainly need a striker, another centre back, a winger (although we aren’t really playing with wingers)
I thought Mel wanted managers to use our world class academy… if Rooney adds eight 30 year olds, like Rowett did, then I don’t understand the club at all

Would like the team the same but I think Lawrence will come in for Sibley (for some inexplicable reason)
I can’t imagine Howson and McNair will leave as much space in front of the back 4 as Hull did last night. Might not create as many chances but hopefully more clinical

I think this system worked miles better tonight with Sibley and Joz playing alongside Morrison
Not slagging off Lawrence but him and Morrison together play soooo deep
Loathe to get too excited after winning 1-0 but we created some really good openings and every player player well. Don’t even remember getting away with any mistakes really other than maybe one Roos clearance

I've been thinking about going to a few away games this season, as I now have the time to do so, I've never been to an away match before! What can I expect? Is it true everybody stands up for the whole game?, and do people take their allocated seats? Is it rowdy, south stand style? What about before and after the game? I'd probably drive so is parking an issue at times? I'm in my fifties and would like to sit down and watch the game, giving the rams a cheer on the way. Fairly typical north stander ?
I hate how everyone stands up at away games. Not good for us with aches and pains ?

No it hasn't, it's been 1 win in the last 20.
Obviously I mean this season

I’d like to once again express my admiration for the Humber Bridge and take a moment to applaud it ?
Every game Sibley doesn’t start from now on will make me more and more anti-Rooney
Although being anti-Rooney is pointless as I honestly don’t think we can afford to sack him

Only been three games, steady on. I haven’t read this thread at all so wonder what the mood is.

We over rate them because they came through the academy.
If we signed bird from another club he'd be getting well slagged off For sideways passing.
For me Watson looks better on the ball than bird. In my opinion he's a better footballer. Bird is just a steady squad player at the moment, dont think he should be a starter.
Buchanan Is a class above the rest that came through & looks like he'd go on to play prem football.
Sibley got off to a flyer but again isnt as good as we think.
Knight just an average championship player. Brings a lot of energy & i like him. Just think we rate them all too highly & put a lot of pressure on them. I hope they all play and get better as footballers & reach their potential with us.
Just some fans want everyone to be the next will hughes and in truth he isnt that good. Being bigged up as a future england prospects.
In fairness, it’s not just the fact they’re “ours”. Most of those lads were national champions at U18s level two years ago, beating an arsenal team containing Bukayo Saka, Joe Willock etc in the North v South final.
There’s every reason to think they’re some of the best young players in the country, they’re just unlucky our first team squad is so reliant on them- Comrade 86, GangwayD and angieram

Is the reason we only extended his contract by a year because we literally can only offer 1 year contracts ?
I really hope we get him an extension as soon as the embargo is over/softened. I hope the young talents are all on long contracts so we can get our money’s worth if bigger clubs come calling!

Same keepers bar Allsop who looks a bit scary.
Worse defence than last year
Same midfield plus Morrison
Same forwards less Waghorn and Gregory.
Didn’t we escape relegation by a whisker?
I’m all for optimism but we need about four more to survive the drop.
Some of those midfielders are a year older… Bird, Sibley, Knight and Watson, who has looked decent, wasn’t in the first team picture this time last year
Perhaps cause for slightly more optimism

Can you provide anything tangible to support your comment he is on £90k per week?
I accept there was much media comment of that sum for his playing contract (contra’d in major part by 32 Red) but how do you know that he did not accept an alternative contract when taking the managerial reins. I suspect you really have about much idea as I do. None.
Maybe he did but he’ll still be on a lot of money.
I think it’s hugely in his interest to stay at Derby. Walk away and forfeit your pay
Stay and you either get sacked and get a pay out or keep the job. It’s such a good job for him, it’s a win win. If we’re dross and go down, everyone says the circumstances were difficult blah blah and if we stay up he’s done a brilliant job just to keep us up
hed be silly to leave
-
I’m not convinced it’s courageous tbh when, by walking away, you would forfeit a 90 grand a week pay cheque

I thought Morrison bought us up to our limit? Don't we have to wait for our embargo status to change before we can sign anyone else (or is it if we sell)?
I think Derby are hoping the rules will be relaxed soon (maybe when we submit our account for 17/18/19)
That would then free up more spaces which they don’t want to “waste” on Cashin and Thompson. In fairness, the priority is surely up top now and CB so Baldock and Jags next in probably

I'm probably up to 1,000 Belgian beers and 500 German already. I don't need any further encouragement really.

Excellent tonight. Raw pace and power, out and and out winger we haven’t seen in years. Doubt he’ll be at the club in a years time.
Drop that fraud Jozwiak on Saturday, Byrne at full back and Festy on the wing. Simples.
Love Festy. Think Watson will feel mugged off he wasn’t MOTM though

On both occasions, there was a problem dealing with my registration, so I gave up.

I can’t actually believe that we’re in a position where the one silver lining might be that academy players will get more of a chance in the first team and we can’t use academy players for some bureaucratic reason
Hilarious

Is anyone on Untappd? Very proud to recently bring up my double century of different beers but then saw a friend of mine is over 1700

It’s did ruin everyone in the villages of North and South Ferriby though for obvious reasons. They never recovered

He’s said a few times recently that he’s not playing the likes of Cashin/ Thompson in U23 games as he can’t risk them getting injured because he may need them in the first team
he described it as “catch 22” as they’re then not getting match sharpness
