Just seen the pics from Matlock, pink on the keepers kit? They are taking the piss now looking to get a reaction out of B4, trolls the lot of them at Umbro!

Interesting that Thommo got good game time on Saturday. If Knighty goes we are going to need a willing runner in the middle.
He didn’t have much of a season last year, started ok without being spectacular, then the loan. In contrast to the previous season where he looked to be on a fast upward curve.
I like him. Great energy, accurate passing, good touch and a terrier. Confidence in his final ball maybe missing but I am going out on a limb and going to say his stepping up will be the big surprise this season.

Well guys we played pretty well and some decent touches on the ball I am please james collions getting first goal it was good cross in which scored good goal from. But 2nd half took a bit longer get into the games with james he got pace to burn and instant impact. And two new young lads he took the goal well and brown lad I was very very impressed with him I think he could make step up to first team but early doors buy signs are promising. But one man was slagging them off I turned around said for crying give lads a break for some this first time in a black and white shirt. He shut up after that I cant stand people slagging them off.

I quite like the home kit, am looking forward to seeing the away version.
Judging by some of the paranoia on here about the colour red, anyone would think we’re more worried about a touch of red than the Crips!

I rarely buy shirts but this one might tempt me. Best one in the last few years IMO.
Though my favourite is still the "Argentina" away kit.

Completely random post I realise, but back in the late 90s I did some work on the DCFC website - back when it used to look a bit like this (but without the broken image tags)

Anyway, when clearing out the office we found a folder full of old photo prints of match days and training sessions with loads of fans, which we must have been given for potential inclusion in news articles. All dated 1999/2000
I was thinking it would be good to somehow share these, as I find it hard to believe that there isn't someone on here who isn't going to recognise someone in the pictures. Trouble is that I can't work out the best way to share them online so that people can idly scroll through them
    Any ideas?

Forest have had a few white away kits with black shorts. They seem to have survived the trauma.
    It's a colour, nothing more.
When you read of Rangers fans ripping up their lawn or dying their turf because the alternative is to have green grass, don't you think that's pathetic?
I quite like the kit fwiw.

taffyram reacted to simmoram1995 in Paul Simpson my dad
Hi folks, just wanted to post today as it’s a very special day for my family. My dad Paul Simpson retires today from teaching after a 43 year career. He taught at Bemrose School, South East Derbyshire college, Alderwasly Hall and then the Roundhouse. I’m unsure but I think being a local teacher I thought some of you might have heard of him or even had relatives taught by him.

He also happens to be a very vocal person in the North Stand having started following the rams since 1980 when he moved from Bradford.

I organised a series of surprises for him including a signed card from the players , a video message from Paul Warne and the article below.

I wouldn’t normally post this but he’s a huge ram and the backlash teachers get for striking he has remained in the profession for 43 years even after suffering a near catastrophic Subarachnoid haemorrhage.

    - Founders’ Green pays testament to our first ever strip.
    - Victory Blue recognises our various achievements of the 1970s.
    - Centenary Gold is synonymous with the iconic 1984/85 strip.
    - Premier Burgundy marks our first ever season in the Premier League.
    - Community Pink commemorates the third kit of the 2020/21 season which raised significant awareness of breast cancer.
    - Timeless Blue provides a constant throughout history, appearing as early as 1885.

I thought in previous years we announced a date when the kit would be unveiled. All very cloak and dagger this time. They've definitely got me hooked with anticipation this time. Hope it's not an anti-climax when it eventually gets released.

I can't tell you how happy it makes me to finally have a decent, principled man like David Clowes at the helm, rather than some parasitic venture capitalist consortium, a human-rights abusing nation state or a deluded egomaniac millionaire.
No promise of on-the-pitch success could ever convince me to give up what we currently have for any of the latter.
I can't remember the last time I genuinely felt this, but it feels good to be a Ram.

Shame he did not achieve his potential with Derby, however Birmingham are still taking a high risk gamble for he could break down again in the pre season friendlies and they will be stuck with his wages whatever they are with his Birmingham contract.
Wish him all the best delighted he his off our books

I think as far as the club are concerned any fee for Bielik was a bonus. There wasn't exactly a queue of clubs trying to buy him. The bigger thing here is the wages being off the books. We could get two players in for the same money we were playing Bielik.

There are very few EFL clubs out there paying out transfer fees - it’s a financial reality whilst wages cripple a lot of clubs - it’s why we took Warne on to make a side out of little and get promoted. We are a million miles away from premiership crazy money.

    Yes.
His wages as an ongoing commitment for the club were factored into the budget and would represent a massive expense. That money can now be repurposed on new signings (plural) or saved to further strengthen financial performance.
The fans don’t know what we still owe Arsenal, the people in charge at the club do and have sanctioned the transfer with the club’s finances and interests in mind. The outstanding amount owed to Arsenal will also have been budgeted for, so any fee we receive is additional to what’s been costed.

Oh yeah they sold their Acadamy’s jewel at the right price with the right clauses.
If Jude Bellingham came from our Academy we would have got £1m and a packet of Tomato flavoured SNAPS!
