There are a lot of British expats in that part of the world but how many of them will bother going though I don't know. I guess we'll find out. This is one of the problems you have when you're hosting a world tournament inside a country with 3 million residents and 300,000 citizens. There are simply not likely to be enough people to fill the stadiums for the games. There are already rumours circulating that the regime are having to pay people to attend games or pretend to support certain teams in a desperate bid to create an 'atmosphere'. 

NML is so powerful and athletic this makes up for his lack of consistency in his crossing, shooting etc. He's a wonderful player to watch though and he's one of those few players who can make everyone get up and out of their seat.

Would have been good to see a mass boycott and let them host a World Cup with none of the major nations there. It would have been the farce it deserves to be. Sadly, despite some discussion about minor acts of protest nothing major is going to go ahead. Money and status seemingly trumps all.

not convinced by this tbh. Playing a 5-3-2 for us is so defensive we're asking teams to come onto us highlighting defensive frailties.

On behalf of all the supporters' groups - and supporters, really. Very emotional. No-one should ever go to a football match and not come home.
Liverpool staff were excellent,  very helpful and appreciative. We got escorted back through all the checkpoints to ensure we got to our seats in plenty of time.
We still had a few braindeads chanting their vitriol at the game, but quickly drowned them out with pro-Derby singing.

just can't get excited about this. It's interesting as there appears to be a complete lack of enthusiasm for this tournament with very little coverage or ppl seemingly excited for it. 

No shame at all in losing on penalties. They should all be very proud and it sounded like we could have nicked it with a bit better finishing in normal time. Onwards and upwards to MK Dons!! COYR

I didn't love getting rid of Rosenior as I'd have given him until christmas. If we'd replaced him with a manager who had demonstrated a record of success at league 1 playing a brand of football that wasn't an anathema to our squad I'd have been more on board. Turning us into Rothwarne FC is a move I was and remain skeptical about. 

what on earth did we 'overcomplicate'. Think I'm more concerned that he's banging on about us not being 'nasty enough'. It's utter rubbish quite honestly. The problem is that we were 10 yards too deep, not doing enough to pressure the opposition at the back and allowed them to launch balls in our area which we're always going to struggle with. I'm not quite sure how he's not seeing this as the prime issue
