Steve Buckley’s Dog got a reaction from Grimbeard in Arthur Cox (no, he's not dead!)
Prevented chants of ‘Cox out’ as well which would have been both heartbreaking and funny at the same time.
Cox’s team will always be my Derby County, travelling all over the country watching his bunch of warriors. What a great time that was. Phil Gee through Burridge’s legs, George Williams scrapping on the goal line at Stoke, Bobby…always Bobby.
They were the days when new signings actually improved the team. Chandler to Callaghan, McClaren to Gregory, Davison to Saunders, Hindmarch to Wright, Wallington to Shilton… you could go on.

I agree. Let’s have more Cox. Something this forum manages to do on a daily basis so why not @Owen87ITK. A 5 part series is definitely called for. Didn’t Radio Derby do a big feature with him a couple for years ago? Sure they did. Remember his Wallington playing at Ipswich with a broken finger/hand story.
    Great days.

I wonder how Ainsworth will do as a football manager having been at Wycombe for so long.

So in the toilets at pride park you would rather have a midfielder who can put his tackle in than hot water

There genuinely isn’t hot water in the toilets I use. It used to be so hot that it would burn your flesh off but no longer. I would rather have a midfielder who can put a tackle in though.

It’s about what we do. We can’t control what the opposition does or how bad the ref is. But we do need, as some have said, a certain type of player that we’re currently missing. We have talent and ability but we’re too nice as a team.
For me the missing player needs to be able to do the following:
    1. Ref the game or “manage” the ref through the 90 minutes. We see players from other teams do this, we don’t.
    2. Gee up the rest of the team when the tide is turning against us. Have a word with a few. Go tight for 10 minutes. Change the mentality. This would have been invaluable in some of our recent games but it didn’t happen.
    3. Make a few tackles, bully the opposition a bit, identify the opposition’s key player and bring him down a peg or two.
    4. Win the ball and pass it to our better technical players.
I believe with this one addition to the squad we would get enough points to go up next season if we don’t this. However, how easy it will be to get this player under current restrictions I don’t know.

No of course not, but it would be refreshing. As it would for a player clearly shown to have dived to receive a retrospective ban. You do appear to be very unnecessarily argumentative at times Tyler - that wasn’t even a relevant point to the discussion was it.

Watching SKY it's easy to see that football is eventually going to die.
Whatever her name is, Jamie Mackie and Cowley 1 or 2 discussing tonight's penalty, said its a hard one to call, justifying the player cheating by saying White stuck his leg out so minimal if any contact was enough to dive, and praising the ref for giving a positive decision.
THE GAME IS DYING, and this mealy mouthed approval is just helping it on his way.
The Plymouth guy dived, they beat us because they cheated and that is apparently OK. We'll it isn't ok with me, you make your own minds up

We are badly missing George Williams and Van der Laan. When are they both back? White isn’t good enough. He’s fine when you are 4-0 up against Morecambe but he has neither the quality or backbone for this league I am afraid. I would rather play Thompson, at least he is our player.

Massive well done to Rams fans who made a real noise there tonight
I watched on tv and a few points
Korey Smith is a good player but makes the wrong decisions in the final third
Barks should’ve done better with the header
we desperately lack a pacey striker
Dobbin showed naivety when he came on often dribbling for the sake of it and then playing push and run when he just needed to play it
Collins when he came on just goes around giving needless free kicks away
Jason Knight needs to play further forward in midfield
we can still win play offs but we need to be much better but Plymouth were not great at all
