  1. Just got back.

Someone drove into the back of me in the A50 roadworks. Which was nice.

Then Fornah was played as a number ten with NML at wing back, which was perplexing to say the least. Then the ref happened with some outrageously bad decisions. But we were awful. I thought we had turned a corner but I’m not sure what I saw there. I don’t think it’s too difficult - just play players where they play!! Felt sorry for Fozzy today who I thought was excellent. John-Jules has to start next time - he is so much better than Collins and Washington who both look like they have never seen a football before.

However, all being said, all of us can be grateful tonight that we are not the ginger t***** in the grey tracksuit. Of that we can all be thankful, whether you know what I am talking about or not.

    Up the Rams

  2. Lost in the cup? Probably best to concentrate on the league and leave the competition to Premier League teams who can actually win it, like Burnley and Everton.

Could have been worse. Harrogate lost 8-0 tonight, Blackburn’s biggest win since putting seven past Notts Forest. Mind you Harrogate had a shot on target tonight which is something the Bakery Burners didn’t manage. Bless them. Maybe they need to spend more money and buy more players?

Let me tell you we were never the better team against Wigan Ambitious, we were just awful and the pie eaters deserved their win. I have to say though that we gifted them two goals and there wasn’t one player who didn’t have a mare. Against Burton we again gifted them a goal but then got that back through Charles and really should have won. Against Middlesbrough last night we were excellent in the first half but Boro really turned it after the break and showed their class. We actually did well to hold them until injury time the went to sleep and allowed them a late goal and an even sloppier one 3 minutes later so actually I think 3-1 flattered them. As for tomorrow I do expect us to be back to full strength other than Santos missing injured but Toal back as replacement is a bonus. I’m expecting an end to end game because we can both score goals but it could go either way. Whatever happens I still think we’re probably the best two squads in L1 and should be there or thereabouts at the end and clearly we both want automatic this year but I don’t expect the points needed to be as high as last season. We haven’t done that well against you in recent meetings but obviously we’re hoping to change that tomorrow. I don’t think whatever happens it will define either of our seasons but obviously the 3 points will be helpful if either of us get them. We don’t draw that many but it may turn out that way tomorrow and be a decent result for both? 🤔

    Tomorrow?

Think we could well be played off the park as we probably won’t turn up.

We arrived at the ground Main Stand in 22 degrees, full sunshine and NO refreshments open. Were told they would open at 2.55, an hour later.

I played merry hell with the stewards (who, to be fair  were just following instructions). There was a young lad at the front of the stand feeling faint, but no drinking water available.

Anyway, I demanded they sorted it out immediately, told them it was illegal and I was reporting it to the papers.

After about 20 minutes of harassing them they finally opened up.

A ridiculous state of affairs and the sooner football starts treating away fans as paying customers, we might start behaving like them!

Ironically someone behind the goal became faint and ill because he had access to too many refreshments. A bit of drinking water might have been a good idea for him also.

I think the excitement of the novelty at being in this league and expecting us to do well has worn off...... people have ticked the ground off their list.....our poor start to the season and the ridiculous pricing are all having an affect on the numbers for the Bolton game

Pricing is certainly having an impact on me. It’s too much for an adult and 12 year old.

Fornah agreed to join last week, hold up is/was with Forest, the deal was originally a loan but now going to be a permanent, hold up seems to have been the promotion bonus

Why would they want a promotion bonus clause? All we hear from them is that we are 3rd division Derby stuck here forever so a promotion clause should be of no consequence…unless of course they don’t believe their own rhetoric.

Haider Ali has 2 ways of getting out. Playing across line and getting lbw, or hitting a 6 and then putting the next ball straight up in the air.

Guest was unlucky, looked like he got one that kept low, the rest of the dismissals have been pretty poor cricket.

Reece was fuming as he walked off. His very words were ‘that’s the worst decision I have ever seen’.  You perhaps can give him the benefit of the doubt. The rest ….

Squad for the last one day cup game against Somerset.

Wagstaff in the squad, and for me should play. Maybe at 3 and move Wood down the order as its been a disaster for him there. Leave Dal out to rest his injured hand/finger.

Win and we guarantee finishing about Somerset and Sussex, and can possibly level with Northants…who were hoping to qualify if they beat us yesterday and won their last game.

Looking forward to it tomorrow. My fifth time at the county ground this season and yet to see a win. To be fair I did spend a period of nine years without seeing them win once so I can take 5 games 😂

He was an aggressive effer, wasn’t he ! Very mobile and bustling, throwing himself around, committing niggly fouls around the box and claiming to ref he’d been fouled. Old fashion L1  handful striker. Their No9 bullied us last time round but I think Nelson had his measure yesterday. A good battle between those two.

Their number 15 was the tricky left winger who came on as sub, he wasn’t a striker. Unless my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be.
