"We wouldn't have won without you" is what I can picture Warne saying to Tony, it was a great effort to keep it in and exactly what Warne will want to see. Let's hope this praise absolutely fills the lad with the confidence to play to his full ability (whatever that may be).

Definitely agree with all of this. We’re a historic club with our own unique culture and traditions. It shouldn’t be hard to draw inspiration from our own back-catalogue rather than going down a watered-down European “ultra” style route. The tin-pot renditions of “X place is a s*******…” and “Is this a library” really irk me as well.

I’m based in Manchester these days and regularly go and watch FC United with my red-inclined mates (when I’m not at Derby, of course). The atmosphere is always brilliant, the song-book never ending and original (drawing massively from United fan-culture of years gone by) with the whole ground making a right racket when it gets going. No tifo’s, drums or artificially created “atmosphere”, but an incredible array of flags, banners, scarves and an old-school attitude when it comes to supporting the team.

Over the years the atmosphere and numbers both at Pride Park and away from home have improved significantly, no reason why we can’t build on this in our own way, whilst bringing back some of the classics.
”Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly, have you heard of the North Bank, Highbury?” , anyone…?

Love that, but for full effect, the timing has to be just right.
I vote Wembley, Monday 29th May, continuously for the last 37 minutes, once we're 2-0 up.  ?

Good to hear the 'we fight to the end' chant again. I remember how that almost brought me to tears last season.

If only one  then Tomori all the way for me. Classy player and I cannot understand how Southgate keeps omitting him from his England squads.
But I have a soft spot for most ex-Rams and would love to see how some of the ex-academy players like Whitaker and Ebiowei would fare in this team.

Festy 17 minutes of Serie A football.
Ebiowei 31 minutes of Premier League football.
Such a waste of their development.

It's a long old season. We need pros like Curtis to help guide the rest of the lads through the inevitable dips in form/adversity.
Would like to think both player and club can carve out an ongoing role.

48 hours reacted to angieram in New Chair and Vice Chair of RamsTrust
RamsTrust members elect the Board, the Board then elects the officials. This is standard policy for all community benefit societies and charities. We are guided on this by the Football Supporters Association - FSA.
We chose Hilary as Chair as she was already vice-chair  - a unanimous choice.
Unfortunately no one else on the Board could take on the role of vice-chair and we need one so we co-opted Jim Coyle back onto Board - he will have to stand for re-election at next AGM if he wants to continue. He has been on RamsTrust Board previously and has experience as vice-chair.
All DCFC supporters can join  RamsTrust, providing they agree with the aims and objectives - which are primarily around fan representation and good governance. For example  we are staunch supporters of implementing the changes outlined in the Fan-led review and are eagerly awaiting the publication of the Government White Paper with interest.
It's only £2 to join RamsTrust. We are very keen to get more supporters actively involved. You have to be a member for six months to vote in elections. As our next AGM is in  September now would be a good time to do that if you want to get involved - full details at https://ramstrust.org.uk/wp/
I can't really answer your question about the Labour Party as we are not a political organisation per se. It could be that as a co-operative (one member, one vote) and given our aims and objectives we attract people who have a tendency towards that viewpoint, but that is just speculation on my part. What I would say is that there is definitely NO requirement to be a member of any political party.
We do have several business people on the current Board, I think we are working towards as broad a representation as possible,  really.

There are times when a player exaggerates to draw the attention of the ref to a foul. Fair enough, part of the game. And some refs need reminding !  Martin did it too often, when it would have been better to stay on his feet.
I don’t like “gamesmanship” in the first place but accept that some defenders push the boundaries - this sort of thing is the counter effect. Martin got a name for it with refs and fans. Ok that’s his style and ethic. I don’t have to like it though. Knight is entirely different. No he’s not driven snow, but he is a far more honest player. I like sportsmanship and nothing will change that ever. Playing the game the right way is more important than winning to me.

Build while strong - if we just add a couple to push the current squad we can get promotion- oft teams will not strengthen from a position of sttength then regret it when they have a few injuries

You can't have been paying much attention to Shef Utd in the last few years then... Top scorer in their final season in the Prem (20/21) and voted Player of the Season the year they initially got promoted (18/19), and remained a firm fan favourite throughout his tenure with them.

I’ll talk about Scunthorpe at work to colleagues (Manchester) and dearly hope you can rise again. The imbalance in the game is criminal, football pyramid is the envy of the world. Can’t be allowed to die. Neither can Scunthorpe United. Keep the faith my friend. All true football fans stand with you

I’ll buy a ticket now to help, I’m sure it will line the chairman’s pocket instead but it might help towards wages.

Best of luck. It's a horrible position to be in for any supporter. What we went through literally nearly broke some on here, whilst many so called supporters of "certain" other clubs mocked, gloated and sang for our demise. We can therefore very much empathise with how you feel. Really, really hope you come through it.
