Well, bugger.
A poor game between two sides who barely mustered an attractive passage of play between them. Two soft goals from corners and a decent strike from a bloke given acres of space and all the time in the world to pick his spot.
A lot of huff and puff from us but so many flunked passes and moves stillborn through a lack of care.
Bolton did us a favour. Please, please let's get back to 433 on Tuesday.

Not sure from the above how you consider David icke a far right speaker / supporter who it makes sense to ban from being allowed to speak in public on another thread in here , your view is your view but 🤷🏻♂️
'"...I contain multitudes."
I wouldn't ban David Icke, his views are so mad that they defeat themselves in all but the most mad company.

I think the attachment to our own youngsters is understandable, but probably taints our view a bit.
If we had been looking to bring in a conference bench warmer in Jan, there would have been little enthusiasm.
Let the lad develope with no pressure this season and come back with a better idea of where he needs to be this summer.

Think you will find he is banned from speaking in quite a few countries, but hey never let facts get in the way of a good old insulting 😂😂😂
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-63511142bbc good enough for you , expect so ,
Fair cop, I stand corrected. He was indeed banned from Holland to avoid him publicly stating at a far right rally that covid was Jewish conspiracy spread through the 5G network.
Seems perfectly reasonable to say he's a fruitloop though, surely?

Trevor Christie, cool as custard...
Mods...chuck all these in a GR appreciation thread. The most wonderful radio presence.

This grifters thing is something I find interesting and kind of think it’s become another cover all throw away like woke or far right ,
divid icke is someone I’ve found very interesting from the days when I was very much into Green Party ( believe it or not given where I am today on what’s sold as green )
he was a pro footballer ,was leader of Green Party , had a very decent career in the media and was very well respected and pretty much set financially for the future ,,,,,, yet the path he chose was at great cost to himself , he was laughed at in the street his earning potential was slashed , it was no easy path or easy grift it was in fact quite brave , I wouldn’t have the balls to have done 🤷🏻♂️,
sometimes people like that interest me very much , I’ve found some of his views challenging, some not so much , personally I kind of think the reason the media was on him to ridicule him so fast was the first book he wrote whilst in the Green Party , very well researched and very critical of governments and organised religion,
now he’s banned from speaking ,,,, hmmmmm
Icke isn't banned from speaking, he's just turned into the textbook definition of a tinfoil hat wearing fruit loop, so even the conspiracy theorists raise an eyebrow at him.

That Burnley game will live long in the memory. 'The ref's a Bamford and his wife's a slag' was the official line from the away end, as I recall. Abysmal decisions, rivalled only by Atwell in that era.
I think he's biased. Half a chance and he'll do us down. Add in the Barnsley apprentice factor, and it's an abysmal (AKA standard) appointment by the EF...F...L.

Let's get promoted, then worry about it.
I feel like the core of the back 5/6 is there if we do make it, plus a couple of the front lads. CoYR

Assainated? Been there, done that, but thanks for your concern.
I'm blocking you Ramit. It's either that or get banned.
You've bought into inane arguments about significant global issues, and the garbage you spout about them is pure distilled idiocy. If you had your way democracy and liberty would be dead in months.
Not personal, I hope for the day you sense, but goodbye.

Next Saturday at Barnsley looks massive. Very chuffed with a point.
Never know your luck though, we're all Cambridge on Tuesday. Come on you Us!

This is the key point. No need to refer to how Corey-Blackett. has done so far, that's not relevant. rather why prioritise another winger against the more urgent need for another forward ? Criminal negligence and a mistake we also made in the summer transfer window. Warne's words today included how important is having a Collins-like figure to lead the line owtte, so what are we supposed to do now?
Hang on...it's well documented how they tried to get a striker in, and well documented why it didn't happen. It would have been negligent not to try, but nonpoint signing a striker who wouldn't bring anything to the party.
We have 4 strikers. All injured. Nit Warne's fault.
We'll make do until we get one back, and we'll try to sign a free agent. All sound and sensible to me.

I went so far as to say he was, in terms of technical ability, the worst first choice striker we've ever had.
I'd be obliged to add that no first choice striker has ever worked harder.
On balance, I've grown to love him.

Regulation away win aganst inferior opposition. Disciplined, hard working, clinical at the right moments and with the just enough bits of extra quality to take the game away from them.
Well done Derby. On to Saturday.

I'll expand on my 'no' comment.
There were positives yesterday, but nothing new to take from the day.
Adams, for instance, was aggressive and looks a solid addition...but we thought that after Charlton anyway.

I'm going to stick with my pre-season position, almost, and say autos. HMS Piss-the-league may be a bit leaky, but she'll limp into port OK. 2nd.

All the chat about subs, reffing, late goals, fine...I get it.
For me though the takeaway is that it was another dull as muck afternoon. If we win, I'll wear it, when we don't though...I just start thinking about what could have done instead and I wonder why I'm bothering.
