Re Devante Cole...he's on a free, aged 29, scored 18 goals this season, quick too... and lives in a commutable distance..I'd sign him as a squad player...
We've got two squad strikers if Collo signs. Better would be preferable, IMO.

If they do end up banning headers in men's professional football that would the end for me.

You are a lawyer, and your attitude doesn’t stink any more? Come on mate. That’s hard to believe.
The stickiness or otherwise of his attitude has only limited connection to the layman's interpretation of stickiness and is defined by the technical relationship between the demonstrable facts and the legislation as written vis a vis general attitudinous odour notwithstanding precedent as may be established in case history.
That'll be £5k. Thanks.

This scathing assessment of City fans from the red half of the town has got to be up there.
You think that your moustache is trendy,
You think your Kicker boots are too.
With your Kangol and your fleece,
Ben Sherman on for weeks,
We know that you’re a f****** Blue!
See also:
If you come from Manchester you’re sure to be a blue,
Moston, Collyhurst. Salford, Ancoats too.
And if you think that this is true, you’re nothing but a fool,
’Cos in the town of Manchester, Man United rule!
Nanananaaaaa, we all hate Ciiiiiity!
United’s song book is unrivalled, to be honest.
Well they're both a bit "meh", tbh.

My old man tells a story about the 3rd Div North promotion team. We'd won away and the opposition manager complained to Harry Storer that some of our lads had been 'clogging'. Storer asked for the names of our dirty players. Opposition manager asked if he was going to give them a bollocking. Storer replied "No, but I am bollocking the others".
So, in answer to OP, late 1950s probably.

Ed and Mally are a good team, with Eric adding a dash of extra wisdom.
Never going to match Graham Richards superb tone and turn of phrase, with Colin Gibson holding the show together and Ian Hall grumping through with the joie de vivre of a man with severe haemorrhoids and and a toothache. Magic.

Hourihane, Waghorn and Bird are going or gone.
TJJ and Ebou loans finished. Robinson looks like a loan out waiting to happen if retained.
That leaves 19 outfield players, with questions marks over Gayle, Smith, Foz, Collo, Barkhuisen for contract renewals. Sibley and Thomo surely deserve an extension?
7-11 outfield players required in my opinion, and I'd be looking at 10-11 depending on who we think we can get. Plus the Wildsmith situation to resolve. Going to be a busy summer.

I loved him to bits. He betrayed everything a decent person in his place should hold dear; his team-mates, his responsibilities as captain, the club, the fans. He can rot in hell.

Of games that haven't been mentioned yet, I'll mention two : a 4-0 away win at a crumbling Molyneux just after Christmas 1985, when the team really clicked and warmed up a freezing cold afternoon in Cox's Division 3 promotion season;
The new main stand that nearly bankrupted them set back about 30 yards from the pitch, the rest of the stadium crumbling. I've never been so cold in my life. I thought I was going to lose my toes.

Warne was given a 4 season deal, of which he's got two left.
Warne's brief was to deliver an established Championship club. He's achieved the first step.
The conduct of Mr Clowes' tenure so far is pretty strong evidence that Warne will get every chance to deliver.
Unless and until we have a catastrophic spell where the team have clearly thrown in the towel and we're cut adrift in the relegation zone, Warne will stay.
If we could agree on that premise, surely it'd be best for club that we refrain from indulging ourselves with the topic for a few months at least?

I liked the away fans, I liked winning most weeks.
The novelty of third rate away stadia soon wore off (from the comfort of my sofa on RamsTV).
The quality of the football though. Jesus. Compared to the Championship it's awful. Much better entertainment on offer next year...assuming we're competitive.

Gives the option of a 4, or cover at right of a 3. Lovely player either way.

I have feeling he’s kept the most clean sheets in the entire EFL, not just L1. That’s pretty impressive.
Kudos to Cash and Nels too on that score.

7th manager in 140 years to get us a promotion? Record points haul? Most away wins? Managed to get through the interviews without saying he wished it was his previous club?
If there is anything to forgive...it's forgiven.

Thanks for everything Max, but man this looks like a dodgy career move to me. All the best though.

Plan A was to be lightly toasted from early evening tonight through to kick off. Can't do that as number the junior offspring needs picking up from work at 11:30.
Hence I'm just a bag of nerves. Soaringly optimistic one minute, panicked beyond belief the next.
Roll on kick off.

4-0 Derby. Collo hat-trick. Wilson wonder goal after a mazy dribble.
Beer everywhere. All. Over. Town.
Come on you Rams.
Punching above our weight. What do you think would elevate us above mid table next season?

Assuming we get the signings we need to be competitive, the difference maker would be that striker with a sprinkle of extra class to turn tight games our way.
23 other Championship teams also want him.
