I went to the game yesterday. Florist were absolutely terrible. Really poor. To be honest West Ham weren’t much better but they have some good players. The Red dogs fans starting leaving in their droves after the 2nd goal.

I was in a god-forsaken place called Bolgatanga in northern Ghana a few years ago and some local lads were playing football ( no grass, no boots, pitch like concrete, temperature in the 30s) and one of them was wearing a very old and dirty and worn Rams shirt. I had to leave before I had the chance to ask him where on earth he had got it.

I honestly have no idea how I'm supposed to feel at 70. My father and both grandfathers never made it anywhere close. I do have a morbid curiosity when reading about dead rock stars, footballers from the past and other celebrities - my first thought upon reading about their demise at a relatively young age is usually "Ha! Beat another"

We always met in the late60s/70s at the Vine in Whitaker street. (Now long gone)The landlord liked a drink or three and I can remember going there once when he had a badly bruised and bloodied face. He had fallen down the steps to the basement.
