Our tempo & pressing is way off... virtually non existent..... I have confidence we will improve

It can't be worse can it surely? No tempo, no collective pressing, can't string more than 3 passes together. I can't see what we are trying to do. What is the game plan?

Genuine question, why did you choose Derby County if you watch football to be entertained? How many pure entertaining seasons have we had in your lifetime that you've witnessed? 2? 3? I have no doubt you'll remember some seasons as entertaining based on League finish (making the play offs or in and around), something that will no doubt not be afforded to PW.

Were you not entertained vs MK Dons? Were you entertained during the 16 game unbeaten run? The last 10 games or so, minus a couple of good halves and the MK performance has been below par no doubt, but is that the only sample you're willing to discuss? I know as fans we're very reactionary to what we've just seen but there's got to be some context.

That aside, I don't think it would sit right with me sacking a manager and having to pay him off, barely months after we have just shafted the tax man. Maybe it was irresponsible of DC to give out such a long contract but I'm happy to sit tight and see how it plays out for a fair bit yet.

Why you ask? Simply because of my dad. He took me to PP when I was about 6 or 7 (against Leeds if memory serves me correctly, lost 1-0, a penalty I believe), been hooked ever since. My parents took me to France 20 odd years ago, still didn't stop me from being Derby mad and all it took was 1 game... I try to go back as often as I can, and watch everything on ramstv (thank god for that!).

To be honest, and let's put it this way, I have more often not been entertained (style-wise) than I have. Even on the unbeaten run, the footie wasn't that bad, but it wasn't fantastic either, lot's of long balls and the midfield (one of the strong points of the squad based on personnel available) is often bypassed. I suppose it comes down to opinions, I prefer to see footie played on the ground with midfield runners, some prefer other things 🤷‍♂️

I am not Warne out just yet. Never said I was. I just don't really get they way he is trying to play given the fact the we have some damn technically gifted footballers in our squad.

  3. I watch football to be entertained. Warne is not entertaining me with the current "spectacle" on offer, as a matter of fact, it's mind numbing.

I was exited when Warne was first appointed. I honestly thought that he would get us playing some decent stuff. Now I am not so sure about him.

A threadbare squad with very little rotation?

Threadbare yes, but if all he can offer is this disjointed stuff that he calls footie, that's no good enough for me. I have had it with the "small squad", "no money", "we are lucky to have a club narrative". If all he can offer what is currently played with tye likes of Hourihane, Barkz, Bird, Cash, Wildsmith, an on fire Didzy, NML, Knight, Smith... all players that have played higher up at a decent level, then I'm sorry it's just not good enough, threadbare squad or not.

  5. Just watching the replay of their second goal, it come from an awful half hearted aerial challenge from Barkhuizen, in which he lost his battle that then leads to the break and Cash getting skinned. Barkz again did nothing when he came on, apart from contribute to their second goal.

Down to 7th. What a totally poor performance.

And the responsibility lies with Warne for me. If he can't get a midfield of Bird, Knight and Hourihane, and a super slick Didzy to keep possession of the ball in League 1 and make things tick, then he is in the wrong job. Why we resort to hoofball is beyond me. Just with the midfielder's at our disposal, surely it is in our interest to keep things on the ground, and play to their strengths. It's our strongest area. Whatever crap Warne calls footie at this present time isn't damn working, and hasn't for a while.

  7. Why do we resort to our defenders hoofing the ball forward at every opportunity?! Anyone with half and eye can see it isn't fecking working. I am seriously getting fed up with this "crapball" that Warne calls football.

And there we go, as I type 2-0. No where near good enough today. No where near good enough these last two months. Just about hanging on to a playoff spot. Even if we miraculously manage to finish 6th, Ispwich, Barnsley or Plymouth would destroy us. Wrong tactics again Warne. Starting to become a trend, and starting to seriously peeve me off...

Well today showed that elf done is over in jan window not able to bring in players but ref was poor once again not getting pen once again. When it should been a free kick to derby but oh no it was there’s and they go down other end and scored make 1-0 but should have defended it better for midfield look unbalanced and Rooney should have started in midfield to give it bits and 2nd goals was shambles I hate to say we have blown it.😩😭

and now I am in pain.

Erm, we got White and Springett.

  9. I feel for those who have paid good money to attend and watch what I can only summarize as a shower of shiiiiite. That was as bad of a half I have witnessed in a long long time. No one comes out with any credit, staff included.

Smith all over the shop, beat every time and can't seem to grasp the basic footballing concept of passing the ball to a bloke in the same colored strip as you.

Collins, well Collins.... don't get me started on him.

Davies is literally ducked. It's quite sad to see how rapid his decline is. Love the guy, bit time to call it quits.

MNL, does he ever lift his head up?

Cashin? Where is the real Cash? Someone locked him up and put in some amateur look alike?

Hourihane, does he ever break sweat? His heart rate is probably the same as that of a reanimated corpse based of the effort he puts in.

    Springett, bless him he tries.

And Warne, maybe stop trying to be Ted Lasso, spend less time on your why wall and more on getting the tactics right.
