On another note: I hope Steve Gibson drowns in a pool of his own piss.

Never liked the look of him, reminds me of a lanky streak of piss that was regularly bullied, hence his spiteful and vindictive demeanor. Hopefully what goes around comes around. Remember the lavish spending a few years back (15 million on Assombalonga comes to mind) and the wild claim that the tin pot club would smash the league? Hopefully he will see the consequences of that spending in the near future.

I've criticised Mel a lot for the mistakes I think he has made over the years and how it has led to where we are now. But I know that he cares about the football club. I know he will never sell to this Erik Alonso. Prove me right Mel.

Well the club released a statement regarding the takeover by Alonso that terms had been agreed upon. Sounds like he agreed to sell for me.

For Mel to sell to the' right' people he would likely have to walk away with much, much less than he wants. This will be why we are dealing with the types we are.

The right type of buyer will also be smart enough to understand that they should buy us at the right time. In their mind that will likely be when Mel has absolutely no choice and they can pick up a bargain.

True, very true and it is a very sad state of affairs. Very worrying times indeed @JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta. Unfortunately this is all down to Mel and his disasterclass.

  4. Just read that Wycombe are considering legaI action (don't know if it is true or not), but I honestly don't know how Wycombe can advocate legal action (if that is the case). I would like to remind them, that they are in the Championship on good fortune alone due to the PPG scenario last season. Slightly hippocritical if you ask me.

  5. Bloody hell man, give Rooney a chance. There is only so much a man can do with the average players at pur disposal. Even Frank would struggle.
Let's not forget it took the so called super Frank two seconds to jump ship and join Chelsea. He could have waited, learned his trade at Derby and that Chelski job would have been there in the future at the rate at which they go through coaches.

I for one would not want him back.

Even ‘mild’ abuse of a 16 year old is abhorrent.

I’d rather he stayed, but we’re receiving in excess of a million quid. Remind me how much we got for Anya, Bradders or Butterfield?

Good luck to the lad. And once a Ram...

I agree any form of abuse against a 16 year old lad is abhorrent. But can someone please tell me where the abuse he has "apparently" been getting is?
Some people are saying that if he wants to go then go, that he is ill advised, making the wrong decision  etc. Hardly counts as abuse really doesn't it?

  7. For those thinking that there is a lot of animosity towards the young lad, please get off your high horses, it is quite frankly silly.

No one (from what I have seen at least) has directed any form of comments that take a nasty dig at the lad. What people seem to be saying that the lad seems to be badly advised, and that if he wants to go then let him, we don't need anyone who doesn't want to be here. If he goes, then he goes with my (and no doubt many others) best wishes and I hope he makes it, but I certainly won't miss him. But please don't make out that people are directing loads of animosity towards the lad to vent out our current frustrations with the club, what an absolutely absurd thing to say.

  8. Someone is badly advising this lad it seems. I for one say let him go, if he doesn't want to be here, then I don't want him. What will probably happen is that he will go to Liverpool, get next to no opportunities due to all the talent ahead of him, and his development will stagnate. He has realistically way more of a chance at future first team football here, if he can't see that then either him, or his advisors are not very bright.

If what has been stated is true and we have offered him a deal and he has refused to sign because Liverpool have come sniffing around, I for one will not loose any sleep over it.
