We have no control or movement in the middle of the park for me. No one to get stuck in or get about to make things happen.

I'd drop Bird further back and look to bring on Waggy as the number 10.

It would help if the midfield had access to ball instead of being bypassed by the ball being lumped up top or out wide.

At least the boo boys are happy. Nice to see such real supporters.

So you really enjoying what you are witnessing? Anyone, can see that the footie is dire. We don't string 3 passes together before we hoof the ball aimlessly and lose it. That's not they players, that the coaching. They are being told to play like this. These are not bad players overnight. Fans have the right to boo, this is not footie. It's criminal.

  3. I can do with players making mistakes it happens. What concerns me is the type of footie we are playing. We have some technically gifted players in this squad, yet we proceed to hoof it and constantly lose possession. Only one man is responsible, the individual coaching them to play this way. He may be a so called L1 specialist, but I don't want to watch, nor do I enjoy watching this football. It's god awful.

…doesn’t work in my humble opinion. Has anyone won anything playing 3 at the back.

A number of times today there appeared to be a huge space in the middle of our defence. Sonny Bradley is undoubtedly a good player but is not the quickest and seems to have a habit of going awol.

Two CD’s make the defence more secure while still allowing full backs to overlap and wingers to cut inside.

Happy to be shot down - discuss. 🙂

Antonio Conte's Chelski won the PL with 3 at the back.

I said 10m get it right

Might I suggest you re-read the posts B4...

I understand that you want us to receive a large amount of money for Knight, we all do, the more the better.... BUT, saying that he is worth 25 million is ludicrous. Just trying to keep your expectation levels realistic.

Still to low that being ripped off. Warn likes jasion knight I think he very very very good players it is about time stop selling our players for peanuts and get prober money for him if we are going to sell him.

That's all well and good saying that, but just because you dictate that the club would like to get 10 mill plus, doesn't mean that we will get it. What determines the value of the player are multiple factors.

The first one being contract length, unfortunately Knight has only a year left once the option is levied, this significantly reduces the price of the player.

Secondly, age and potential are to be factored in. Knighty is what now, 22 years old? He is no longer a "young lad" in footballing terms, and hasn't really kicked on from the early promise of being a 10 mill + player. This again reduces value.

Finally, the division in which the player plies his trade and the performance in that said division should be taken into account. The lower down the pyramid you go, the less valuable the player. This is if course relative to the level of opposition the player comes up against. The better the performance in the better league, the higher the value. Unfortunately Knight is playing in L1 and hasn't really been setting it alight.

For me, taking all this into account, I would say that 2-3 million with a sell on fee would be reasonable and fair. It's not about being ripped off, it's about the right price for the player based on age, contract length and performance of the player in the division which we find ourselves in.

However, if a club wishes to splash 10 mill + on Knighty, I would of course love it and snap their hand off. But I just don't realistically see it happening.

  7. Curtis is fecked. I love the bloke but he has been fecked for a while, and was bound to get found out sooner or later. It all good being able to read the game, but when your body can't keep up with what you head is telling you to do, time to go. Self destruct mode once again, that is the derby way. We can debate all day about was it red, was it a foul, at the end of the day he put himself in that position where the ref has to make a decision.
