I would say unless it’s a calamity, near relagation/ not looking to challenge for top 6 then I would get rid. But if we’re working 6-7 points of top 6 I would keep him just for stability. If it does go all pear shaped then Luke Williams at Notts County would be my number 1 choice or Mike Williams at Gateshead

We’ll half of the surprises for today, expect Fornah on a permanent tonight. It’s done and sealed

Midfielders don’t necessarily have to be centrally by the way. In my opinion we need 2 midfielders. Having Bird, Hourihane, Thommo, Smith and another Midfielder is good going. Having 2, especially with the way injuries have gone against us already this season is welcomed. Also the stick that Hourihane is getting is unjustified, one of the best players last Saturday and made some crunching tackles, he’s by far our most technically gifted player and is a threat from set pieces. He is slow but that’s why you get legs around him

Think the signing of Tyrese Fornah is absolutely brilliant, everything we need.
Adds an extra body into the midfield, 6ft1, championship and league one experience, energetic, can play in several positions in the midfield.
Good timing with Birds injury. If it is a loan, his contract expires next summer so a chance if he impresses, could be made permanent.
From how it sounds, he will be good for us!
Might not need to get him next summer…

Midfielder in either tomorrow or Monday. Loan from a Premier League club. With the Fornah rumours pretty safe to say it could be him. Potentially another 2 in before Saturday

Because they aren't all 30 year old ex-Rotherham players?
Maybe Mark Thomas isn't impressed with the sort of players Warne wants to sign, either?
I remember reading the blurb about him when he started. That's exactly what we were told he was good at. So why did we employ him if we are only looking for League One promotion experience?
Honestly no idea. He's clearly well respected and highly thought of. But at the moment it seems like different people all pulling in different directions

For me the team has to be this today
Wilsdmith
Rooney Fozzy Cashin Elder
Hourihane Thompson
NML Wash Waggy
Collins
Bird, Ward and Wilson all injured. Smith I don't want starting especially after his strop on Tuesday. Honestly its probably the best team available right now. Desperately light

It doesn't take a genius to realise most of these players aren't Mark Thomas's suggestions. His 'specialty' we'll call it is low league and Irish league 'gems'. Small fees with a huge sell on potential. Premier league academy off casts also. I think he will come good but so far people are a bit peeved off

Am I right in thinking he was appointed in Feb but didn't start until July?
Started in March, but people higher up are certainly not impressed with him so far.

To clear up confusion, I’m referring to Mark Thomas. He wasn’t prepared for this summer and that’s why the recruitment is Warnes buddies/ players he knew.

That's a big shift from this morning, ask your source what has changed.
One minute there is friction between manager and recruitment team/Pearce leaving you concerned for the rest of the season, only hours later to he told its all systems go.
Either you are making all this up, or Derby County is being ran by Coco the Clown 🤡 😂
Bird, Wilson and ward all injured. There is still friction between the manager and recruitment team. He’s useless apparently. I’ll be honest even with 4 in I’m a little worried about the quality of those players.especially with how tight the budget was. May all change with sales/ injuries of course
-
Been told to expect minimum 4 in. Mix of loan and permanent. Bird won’t leave, especially now he’s injured but Cashin, if the right bid with good cash up front comes in he will be gone. Any money that comes in from transfers can and will be reinvested back into players

Can you expand on that at all as, unlike a link with a potential signing, that’s the sort of rumour that can get out of hand really fast
I’ve been told there’s growing frustrations between Warne and mainly Pearce due to the budget. Im genuinly worried about the rest of this season

Yes but after that poor performance I’m surprised he hasn’t called them in to be honest

@Big Trav I bet the mood today is lower than the last update you gave us 👀
DC was at moor farm this morning… take that how you will. IlL be honest the stuff I’m hearing right now isn’t good. It seems like the budget has been spent. No closer to signing any players. After last nights performance I must admit I’m very worried
