Just watching the leeds game, they’ve got Dan James, Gnonto, Summerville, sinisterra who are all pacy. Cardiff have Ugbo, Karlan Grant and Josh Bowler. We have no one who has any pace up top. In fact probably the whole team

I’ll say one thing, if we play like that every game this season. We go down. Midfield way too slow and lethargic, Hourihane was walking 70 mins, should’ve been hauled off. Little to no creativity. Felt like we were scared to make a forward pass at times. Ver very concerning first game. Hopefully Warne walks into clowes office tomorrow and tells him to get his players in

So you didn’t hear anything about Smith BT…
Nope, little to nothing right now
-
My ideal transfer window from now would be:
LWB - George Cox (was on trail at Hull)
CM - Tom Davies (training at Bristol Rovers, completely unrealistic but you never know hahah)
10 - Jamie McGrath (Ireland international, and did well in Scotland)
9 - Assombolonga (wages might be too high)
9 - Benik afobe ( Again wages might be too high)
Backup - Waggy
- Electric Ram and Caerphilly Ram

Your source baffles me. Only knows things if someone is physically in the building, but also seems to know how much incoming bids are. Unless multiple members of staff were walking round laughing all afternoon I guess.
Honestly I agree with you😂 we speak pretty much every day and I’ve been begging them to give me names.

Been told the bid for Birdy was 10x lower than what they value him and was laughed off

If we can get 2-3 million for Bird I'd go all out for tom Davies who still hasn't got a club. Paul Warne do your thing
-
They've been sniffing around Birdy all summer long. We are going to get to crunch time soon with him only having a year left on his deal

So your sources are still saying Sharp is coming in BT?? That would surprise me to be honest.
No Sharp not coming in guaranteed, told he will come in if we get desperate. Similar situation to Waggy

A first choice older striker? Are Collins and Washington not old enough?
Have been reasonably impressed by the business DCFC have done so far this window, but have found our hunt for a striker quite bemusing.
I think it’s pretty simple. The striker market this summer especially is through the roof.

Talking to someone connected with the club today briefly spoke about transfers apparently Warne has spoken to 8 players from 4 clubs + free agents. Originally he was looking at signing three players but has approached clowes to discuss the possibility of upto 5 coming in. No names besides a strong indication one coming in is sharp, waggy is 50:50 might sign him to booster the over age players in u23s and the first team. Positions spoken about are as follows LWB but Warne is struggling with that and might go for a LCB /LB , A 10 that looks to be a prem loan , two strikers - one older poacher type currently looking at Sharp , waggy , assombolonga and wickham the other is a young championship player and finally it appears another CM likely more of an older head. The player Warne is frustrated about was Rhodes apparently had agreed a 1 year deal with an optional extension but no showed a medical Saturday morning his agent came back saying he wanted more money plus an 18 month deal. My source is in the media department
I have heard similar, only slight difference is Rhodes apparently wanted 2 year deal and wanted more money than was originally agreed. Expect Waggy to come in as 4th/5th choice. Still plan to bring in a first choice older striker, (a la, Rhodes, sharp, Deeney etc.) but different to your info @simmoram1995 I heard no loan at striker. Ive heard loans for number 10, LWB and an ‘energetic box to box’. Re

thanks. do you think they will be loans BT? Bar Sharp (god I hope not) and Waggy?
I’d assume at least 1 striker would be a loan, number 10s are also pretty expensive so assume a loan. Possibly even the left wing back
-
Sounds as if Rhoades deal of off then, I was told Billy Sharp and Waggy will sign if we are ‘really desperate’ by the sounds of it, we’re starting to go pretty far down the list for strikers, also been told to expect 4-5 more players in the rest of the window. My guesses would be a striker (or 2 depending on Dej) a creative 10, a destroyer in midfield, and a left wing back

What just happened?!

I’m told we were late putting our designs in, due to last years fiasco

The outs permanent or loans BT, and do you know of any names.
No names as of yet, I’ll only really know when they step into the building

Been told to expect some movement this week, couple of ins and potentially a few outs. My guess would be Rhodes in and maybe a 10 on loan. Outs would be some of the younger lads getting some first team minutes
