  1. Oh feck off Darren Barker.

Povetkin looks old, Povetkin has lost his speed, Povetkin's punch resistance is down, Hunter was too fast for him... Sky Sports pundits all week writing him off.

Povetkin is so old he kept up with the Forrest Gump of boxing, Hughie Fury.

He's lost so much speed that he smashed Joshua in the face a dozen times in 9 minutes.

His punch resistance is so low based on... no? Just more poo then, Darren?

The same Michael Hunter that Povetkin caught up with and started bossing?

Yeah, maybe don't stick with the narrative brief when the narrative is full of poo.

All that work, all that chasing, all those dangerous fights, all that drug/suspension poo only to fall at the last hurdle.

Whyte should be a peoples champion anyway for giving these types of fights. Hopefully his comeback can be vs Darren Barker or Froch who are paid for expert opinion and to tell people Povetkin is past it based on 2 World title losses (1 to a legend) and 6/12 rounds vs Michael Hunter.

  2. Can't wait for tomorrow night. It's been good to have boxing back and there's been some good scraps but when the biggest names are back or the heavy division kicks off... the big nights are something else.

C'mon Dillian, lad. Don't fall at the last hurdle.

    Pressure on Katie Taylor too.

Head says Povetkin by KO in 10.

    Heart says Whyte on points.

Agree with @tomsdubs, I think both will probably touch the canvas.

Two brawlers should be a war.

Shame we lost the Bakole fight against Kuzmin, would have been a decent scrap. Povetkin's last chance surely now, he'll be bang up for this one. Get the feeling both guys will get dropped.

Do you reckon Bakole will do well?

To me he looks a bit like the Joyce/Dubois category of expecting to win every trade. Just think at some level below world level they will all find an opponent that fights just as hard but a little smarter.

I already thought Dubois was very lucky in one of his fights (I think it was Lartey but not 100%) where his chin was actually tested and didn't look too great for a guy who's defence is to throw more hooks

They all look like they expect to blast everyone out quicker than they can be hit.

Dubois v Joyce should be good in October. I think age/stamina will decide it.

  4. Big heavyweight fight for the first time in forever.

Got a bad feeling about this one. I think they'll be a bar fight or two and I think Povetkin has the tougher chin. Only a mad man would want to fight Povetkin. He's horribly tough. Much easier to avoid him. All Whyte had to do was tick over but he's got stainless steel nuts. I hope he wins and gets the shot he deserves.

Been on anxiety medication since October, those that I speak to and see on here will know the difference it’s made to my life.

Booked my first holiday abroad since I was 16 ish in October, today had my first hypnotherapy appointment through Zoom from a Derby fan on Twitter who is a councillor and hypnotherapist, was a little sceptical about it all, but it was actually very good.

It’s not like you see on TV where they have you barking on stage like a dog, she runs you through past experiences in your head and asks you to visualise past events and places you in a 3rd person perspective. It’s hard to explain but I came off feeling strangle a little “high” if that makes sense, really relaxed and it’s quite bizarre.

If you’re willing to embrace it and go with it, I can see it being quite rewarding, definitely will be continuing with it.

Feel free to tell me to piss off but I thought you were married? I thought you settled down with the girl you was with when I met you?

Have I completely missed some of your posts in here?

I was just thinking how a partner could/should help.

I watched Fight camp on Sky last night.

Thought it was pretty good, all things considered.

Most of the bouts were decent fights and the Jonny Nelson 10 min talk about boxing and BLM was excellent.

I fell asleep and missed it. I was only really interested in Gill and Eggington anyway.

By the time Eggington hangs up the gloves he will have a face like melted wax. Entertaining, likeable fighter but takes far too much punishment. Knew he'd lose ?

I've never really understood why fans hold such a hatred towards referees. Unless they're being lazy or arrogant, why should they be abused for a mistake? What's it going to achieve?

I also think that the idea of the standard of refereeing getting worse is a bit of a myth.

Think everything seeks to undermine them.

Managers/players use them as an excuse rather than look at the game as a whole

Pundits earn their money slagging off people who actually have a proper job

Commentators use them to create drama

And VAR. The saviour of referees. The one introduction that makes it so referees don't have to arrogantly defend their decisions has been so poorly implemented that all it really does is draw even more attention to the specific points managers and players can use as an excuse.

There are so many things that don't help them. If VAR is going to exist it should be for a ref to review. Not a group decision. Not a national scandal.

The game is full of divers and cheats. So when somebody dives and cheats we blame the referee for falling for it. How about we blame the cheat and start punishing them. Have a review panel deal with that instead of holding hands in the VAR office. Get rid of cheating on such a huge scale and refereeing gets easier.

Olivier Giroud with a lovely, Martin-esque flick for the Chelsea goal.

How @Alpha can love CM but call Giroud a donkey is beyond me.

    He wears make up

You can't be a target man and be beautiful. He's a con.

(I actually think he's improved massively from his early Arsenal days but I can't go back on my assessment without accepting I was wrong. So..)

He's French, he uses every beauty product, he doesn't score enough and if he's not as good as a fit Andy Carroll at what he does. Put Glenn Murray in a Chelsea shirt and Giroud can go back to presenting Big Brother, Xtra Factor and the new Supermarket Sweep.

    BRASSIC

    on SkyTV, absolutely hilarious.

Series 2 not as good as 1 though. Still good and I could watch Joseph Gilgun that plays Vinny in anything. Think his natural style is unique and endearing.

I say... If Brentford let us down today, and a guard of honour is required tomorrow... we form the narrowest of narrow corridors for them to negotiate.

Two lines of Derby players, facing each other, and stood 0.5 metres apart.

... And blame the sneezing on the fact that someone has just mowed the grass!

Yes... I know this is no laughing matter... but that's no reason not to laugh!

Or a really slow sarcastic clap. Smuggle Rooney a phone so he can be texting and just clapping one hand on his leg. Then have one player got OTT with being happy for them. Handshakes, hugs, air punches and maybe a quick congratulations to a Leeds player that lasts awkwardly too long.

  11. I hope we don't give them a guard of honour. Standing around clapping opponents is a load of poo.

Like shaking hands before a game.

Such a load of poo. I wouldn't care if Derby won the league and there was no weird clapping baalocks.

Back in my school days such behaviour was 'gaaaay'. I don't think that's as harmless as it was back then but it's definitely crap

  12. Last season Norwich over 90 points ano scored over 90 goals

Now they're rock bottom with Villa while obviously Sheffield United (including David McGoldrick, Ben Osborn, Kieron Freeman, Billy Sharp and George Baldock) are 6th ahead of Arsenal and Spurs.

The conversations we have had on here about who's good enough and who isn't.

Turns out Enda Stevens and George Baldock might be but Henri Lansbury, Connor Hourihane and John McGinn might not be that good.

    Sheffield Utd 3 - 0 Chelsea

Two goals for David McGoldrick not many Forest fans or Ipswich would have thought he was good enough for the Premier League. I say well done to him he has taken his chance and is doing ok.

Always been a good player but the label says 'striker' when he's not a striker. Gets judged on goals but he's very good at keeping the ball and bringing others in.

  14. Think Norwich just took the worst free kick I've ever seen.

Dying seconds, halfway line, manager orders them to wait, players get forward and the whistle goes

Free kick goes sideways across the pitch to nobody.

Tik Tok. Cannot stand it. People trying to be funny and they're being absolute prats. My partner loves it, I want to throw her phone to the bottom of the sea.

    Yep.

I've seen little challenges and GoPro stuff on there that's good but the vast majority isn't funny or entertaining.

My daughter (8) watches it and the stuff she watches... my god. Millions of sketch shows all with identical lines and she sits grinning at all of them.

Here's me scared. Here's me sad. Here's me happy. Here's me confused. Here's me in love. Here's me....

Dad was so different from the confused man who left our home that day.

After Mozza spoke to him again he told me.

"He, (Mozza) just said to me 'Ayup dad, wanna see my car?"

    That was all it took!

That's how people should be. I know people who have not spoken for years and years because neither wants to admit they're wrong or say sorry. Yet if one just sent a text or anything with some ******** conversation then the other would jump at the chance to talk again.

It's sad that time will run out for them before they realise neither wants to be enemies!
