Yes,obviously I can’t comment on here but I have met him.

I know he does a lot for charity.

I'd love to know what he's like because he seems well liked in boxing? But I don't find him likeable at all.

Still think he's got a lot to prove too which is why he isn't a big draw despite his promising performances (Andy Lee, David Lemieux) and being a x2 world champion.

However this video I don't think is that bad. I don't think he condones domestic violence because he made a stupid video.

But he was a dick in his last stupid video and to even risk being called out like this again shows he doesn't really give a poo.

    Which is cool.

    But I don't like him.

  2. Watched all Usyk v Gassiev, Usyk v Glowacki, Usyk v Joyce, Loma v Linares, Loma v Rigondeaux (however you spell it), Loma v Martinez, Canelo v GGG 1 and 2, AJ v Whyte, AJ v Povetkin, AJ v Breazeale, Dubois v Gorman, Fury v Chisora, Fury v Wlad, Fury v Wilder 1 and 2, Fitzgerald v Fowler, Whyte v Chisora, Whyte v Parker, Mayweather v Pacquiao, Pacquiao v Broner, Bellew v Haye 2, Bellew v Makabu, Froch v Groves, Lewis v Vitali Klitschko, Tyson v Holyfield, Tyson v Bruno.

YouTube suggestions got out of hand lately.

But even during this crisis I still wouldn't watch Lawrence Okolie if he was fighting in my garden.

Ok, I'll let you off then ?

Being serious for a min, I've never seen anyone fight like Loma and whilst he's not had that many fights as a pro he was 396-1 in his amateur career.

I am a bit biased though as the Canelo Triple-G fight still sticks in my craw. The former has always seemed a tad 'suspect' to me too.

Yeah I think Canelo was very very relieved to get the draw the first time. Second time i thought he won by 2 or 3 rounds and I think he's got the measure of GGG now.

I want to see Loma v Gervonta Davis. Love to see Davis get toyed with.

    How very dare you!!!!

    ?

It's his chin and power that does it.

I'd rather watch Loma but I think Canelo's chin and power carry through the weights better. But he's had what? 50 fights to prove himself. I expect by fight 30 that Lomachenko will have either been "found out" or have nobody left to fight.

    Amazing fighters.

Tough one really, my mind says I should go with Canelo but I have a huge urge to go for BJS.

I decided it by thinking HOW each fighter could win.

I can see Canelo knocking BJS out. I can see him schooling him. I can't see BJS knocking out Canelo in 24 rounds never mind 12. The question is does BJS outbox Canelo?

He would have to repeat Fury v Klitschko. It would have to be a masterclass.

I reckon he probably beats GGG now. GGG has been slowing down for a while and BJS is the worst kind of opponent for him now. He needs guys who will stick around.

If he beats Canelo then he becomes a huge name instantly and you'd back him against anyone.

  6. Does anyone fancy BJS to beat Canelo?

If I was a betting man I'd bet heavy on Canelo. It's hard not to sound disrespectful to BJS who definitely has more to him but Canelo... probably the most complete fighter in the sport. Picks his opponents a bit but still shows he has everything.

I'd put him ahead of Lomachenko I think. Not as good to watch though. P4P number 1 and 2

Has Usyk really had his chin tested at HW yet? Chisora wont hang about, he knows he wont be able to outbox him so will probably start throwing bombs relatively early in the fight.

Yep, I suspect he'll try proper bully tactics. That is probably what Usyk wants before stepping up for world titles.

His only fight at HW was against Chad Witherspoon (me neither) and although he beat him up I didn't think it was a performance to make the heavies pay any attention. When Witherspoon hit him on the guard it looked to me like it shifted Usyk's balance off. Maybe it was ring rust or he's just not found his weight yet.

Chisora will be all over that though, like you said.

I do think Chisora will lose pace and the work of Usyk will be too much. But if Chisora bullies him then you have to worry for Usyk when he fights the younger guys who come with the same weight and height +.

    Chisora vs Usyk May 23rd.

    I'm all over that.

    Definitely.

We'll learn so much about Usyk. Don't think there's a better HW to put it on Usyk's toes and bully him.

I think Usyk wins on points or late retirement/stoppage etc. I think he'll break Chisora down but not KO him. But the interesting thing will be with how he deals with Chisora's weight, strength and any combinations that put him on his back foot. Wonder if he will look strong.

Anyone watch the PBC card? Knowacki got KOd by Helenius but Ajagba looked like he's made some good adjustments since going life and death in his last outing.

I've been watching Parker since he turned pro, he's a good fighter but I don't think he can beat the top guys in the division. He should really have a loss on his record, he got injured vs Williams and should have been beat on the cards but they robbed him.

I didn't even check the Kownacki fight out because I just assumed he'd win. Helenius is just a bit of a brute isn't he? Got some good wins on his record now though and his defeat to Whyte was a respectable effort. Shouldn't really come as such a shock but I just thought it was journeyman for Kownacki to boost his profile against. Oh dear oh dear. ?

Whilst technically not boxing, this fight was just all out boxing.

UFC 248, replay is available on BT Sport.

Just watch the Zhang and Jedrzejczyk fight.

    Before and after ?

Wow. I don't even know if I want to watch it. Looks grim

    Big night for a Ram.

Zach Parker taking on Rohan Murdoch on the Quigg v Carroll undercard in Manchester. Parker getting more press, surprised it’s not been mentioned here yet. Hope the lad does well, wears the Ram proudly, more should get behind him.

He’s one of our own. Come on Zach.

Didn't he call out a big name the other day? I saw that somewhere I think. Never seen him fight so I'll defo tune in

  12. I fancy Povetkin. That would be so cruel on Whyte.

I think if Whyte stayed patient then he could win. But he can't resist a scrap and Povetkin will happily have shootout. I like Whyte but I think he believes too much in his power. He'll get dragged into a punch up where I think Povetkin is as tough as Chisora and Rivas. Tougher than Parker. Punches harder than them all.

Hunter caused him problems with the pace but I'm not sure Whyte can replicate that.

Nah, I think Povetkin will KO him sadly. Bad fight for Whyte to take in his position imo.

Hide behind the jab and break the body should be his tactic but he'll let his temper and pride take over.

    Great fight

  13. Pinch, clinch, punch, clinch, punch, clinch. It's a Pulev fight.

If AJ covers himself in baby oil then this fight will last a minute.

Do Pulev and Wilder know they're fecking things up here.

Whyte is due to fight for the WBC early next year so are we going to get AJ v Fury at all now?

  14. Just lost our longest serving Champ I think.

I think Eddie and Kal Yafai thought Chocolatito was a bit more past it. Thought he might have lost some fight and would make a good name on Yafai's list.

Oops. Still hard as feck it turns out. Brutal little poo.

Parker with an impressive KO but took loads of unnecessary punishment. Looked rusty or wasn't up for it considering the gap in ability.

  15. Oh dear.

He should have kept his mouth shut and kept all that private. Just say there were issues in the build up but I'll fix them and be back.

People will be hammering him now and it's a shame because he has been an interesting fighter and a massive part of this exciting era. He also showed how tough he is against Fury which would have made people warm to him

He's an odd guy. He's had to bang the drum so loud to get noticed but he's been ignored. But he doesn't know when to shut up and now he's getting all that noise turned back on him without ever really being celebrated by his country.

Needs to shut up and take some time off. Come back and build towards AJ. He hasn't got the beating of Fury but he is still a huge problem for the majority of the division.

Call me cynical, but if Wilder doesn't force an immediate rematch, I could see Tyson having a further summer fight in Vegas, possibly against Ruiz.

Ruiz would be fighting his third consecutive bout for a world title, marketed as a shot at redemption, which always piques American interest, plus they seem to have bought into Fury big time. It would sell enough stateside to make it financially rewarding enough for the little risk involved.

Joshua will take his mandatory fight at Spurs new ground, sell the stadium out and plenty of PPV buys to swell the coffers, taking into account AJ's bigger share of the purse it's possibly not much less earned than a unification fight anyway, again for less risk.

Both win, stage set for a winter bout, can't hold it in England it's too cold, but these nice Saudi chaps have offered to guarantee its the highest grossing single night of sport in history!

That would be a good call but I think Ruiz is deep in negotiations with Luis Ortiz. Great fight that.

Dillian Whyte gets a shot in February so if it isn't this year then it won't be until mid-late 2021 for AJ v Fury.

I hope they don't leave it that long because it only takes a slip up and the fight is lost.

AJ lost to Ruiz and Fury made such a mess in the Wallin fight.

The only way they fight in the UK is because of the fighters. I think, hope, that both fighters will be so well paid for this that they just want to scrap it at home for legacy. There will 100% be at least 2 fights if we get the first one so they could go off and get another huge payday.

Hearn and Warren take this abroad and they'll get major grief at home!

  17. 4 hours ago, tomsdubs said:

Anyone see the Hearn interview with IFL? Sound like the convos he's had with Fury's team everyone has a good idea of any terms if they could make the fight. Said they were working on a 60/40 split negotiating the fight the first time before Fury got the ESPN 10 fight deal.

Lets face it, AJ vs Fury will be the biggest fight in Britain ever and maybe in the world, the build up and media coverage would be unprecedented. If these promoters have any sense they'll make this fight and raise the profile of the sport. I saw a piece with Max Kellerman where he said Fury can say no to the rematch? I don't think that is the case.

From what I've seen Fury would have to buy Wilder out of his rematch. Dunno how they would value the rematch.

I reckon Eddie was pretty much saying it will be 50/50. AJ is a bigger star but we offered 60/40 before Fury' profile sky rocketed? Sounds like 50/50 talk.

Whatever 50% is it will be huuuuuuuge payday

  18. Watched it again. 3rd time.

Love the little things Fury does. Even when he throws a punch he's thought about the counter punch. Watch when Wilder counter punches and look how Fury has already rolled it or got his shoulder to glance it away. He punches and rolls a defence. Helps being massive that you can hide behind your shoulders. Don't think many if any could do that to Fury.

I'm sure after the fight he was like "didn't bring it, no excuses" now, looks like excuses.

Yeah he just said he'd had injuries in camp etc. Just stuff that's probably true because I imagine Fury had little niggles etc. I bet most fighters pick up injuries

But if he wants to tell himself that he lost because of a bad camp then that's understandable. He brought what he could and got beat.

But blaming referees, suits and the towel being thrown in.... those are "excuses"

I see its being reported Wilder has triggered the rematch clause.

I understand why he's done it, but how depressing for the majority of fans.

Been there, done that. At the moment I cant think of anything less inspiring than another round of pre fight hype, the same pre fight analysis and invariably the same result. It was beginning to get a bit overkill in the run up to last Saturday.

There's also a risk Fury might be a bit bored for fight 3 as well.

    That's a bad move imo.

He should claim injury or say he's taking a year out. Come back at Christmas and work through some top 10 fighters and make AJ your next mega fight

    Brave move.

    Thx for that, nice response.

If you have a spare couple of hours and feel like getting utterly depressed take a look at the film, or read the book, Just Mercy if you are interested. It's pretty bleak material and makes you realise just how far lots of America is from that which the Orange one might have us all believe is the reality. I'm not the most widely travelled in North America but you don't have to get too far from the big cities to see just how inequality is.

I will have a look. Those statistics are shocking
