  1. Okolie going to be a problem because of his size but they're ruling out some monsters in that division. Cruiserweight has some beasts in it. Fighters that are very clever and experienced. Theres no way that he would have destroyed Glowacki like that imo.

This Jezewski fella kept stiffening up to take the shots, flat footed, square on no wonder he got rocked. Weird tactics.

But fair play to Okolie, he was flawless. I just don't like his attitude towards other fighters that he's not fighting and he used to be a bully back in school.

I always feel like they're contractually obliged to have a bit of a rumble and argument in the build up to help sell PPV.

Some are, some are just pumped. Hearn admits to telling fighters they have to talk to sell fights.

Tyson loves to have fun in the build ups. Wilder too. Proper panto stuff

But people like Chisora and Whyte you can tell are fiery in just sit down interviews in the build up.

AJ is always respectful though until someone gives him grief. Pulev loves his intimidation tactics and that Bulgarian mafia that tags along.

AJ - Pulev weigh in, while not on the Hayes - Chisora presser scale, a wee bit tasty all the same. Genuine needle or an attempt to breathe life into a fight that has yet to fire up the public?

Nah that looked genuine. Pulev must have had a cheeky line coming in all pumped like that. Or maybe he's been very clever and just invited AJ to come up close where he can do his usual wrestling moves.

AJ should remain calm, lead Pulev like a dog for a few rounds and then feed him the canvas.

Remember Pulev v Chisora was when Chisora got slapped and stalked a guy through a hotel (and roughed him up apparently). I think Pulev has more mouth than ability.

    Haha.

There must be some small part of you that admires a 25-year-old bloke for reaching a status where he's a multi-millionaire, has models on tap and manages to blag a boxing match with one of the greatest of all time.

Admit it, that would be a pretty fun life to lead.

From what I've seen he's a pretty crappy human. I do feel admiration for KSI. I quite like him.

Only Wilder is worse in top tier HW boxing, in my opinion. Both are not good clinchers.

That's how you know Wilder must pack a rocket powered punch. Because he's so bad at everything else and only weight 16st at 6ft 7" yet still went to the top.

You wouldn't want to cheat with his wife would you

  6. I reckon Wilder v AJ would still be an epic fight. Fury does things like ducks his head under his shoulder when punching. AJ has a tendency to leave his head sat up there and plants his feet a lot.

Its the perfect time for Fury v Joshua. Everything we know about both men was called into question in their last fight.

Fury never plants his feet... but he did

AJ doesn't get on his toes or change his height... but he did.

  7. He visibly struggles to get strength in his legs and arms and breath when he's hurt. It's very obvious when he's took a heavy shot and not being able to hide it is his major weakness.

Against Whyte he bumbled about for a bit. Against Wlad he couldn't even lift his arms to defend himself. Against Ruiz he tried to hide it by attacking but we know how that went.

I'm a big fan of Joshua but he's gotta be one of the worst elite fighters in a clinch. He doesn't impose his size and weight. If anything he gets pushed around. His survival skills aren't the best even if he has the bottle.

Anyway, I don't think Pulev will test his chin. Not if AJ finds and holds his range he'll be fine. After facing Povetkin and Takam this guy is going to be like a punchbag on legs. If AJ loses it's going to be because he's done something stupid like trying to dismiss Ruiz. But that first Ruiz fight should have made him well aware that 17st heavyweight boxers can all hurt if you stick your chin in the way

  8. Mayweather will never do that because he wants the world to call him out for more fight$. It would be great if he did decide to show the difference between 30 fighting years and a few dozen hours.

Know what you're saying about AJ. I don't think much of Pulev. He's tough but he loves to wrestle and doesn't really have one punch ko power as you said. But the I suppose Ruiz Jnr doesn't so... fingers crossed that was just one sweet shot that wobbled AJ for the fight.

I think as soon as he's up against AJ's size and strength he'll not fancy it. Probably try to slow the fight right down

AJ should start fast. Quick sharp shots, in and out. Just set the pace nice and fast. Plant his feet when Pulev has given up trying to grapple because he'll no doubt run out of ideas.

Logan Paul couldn't even beat KSI ffs. The chances of him landing any punches that Mayweather doesn't allow him is nil. The cynic in me says like with Conor McGregor, Mayweather might deliberately drop a few rounds and the start before whipping him.

Definitely, he'll be thinking if I let Logan Paul land a shot or two then they'll buy a KSI or Jake Paul ppv!

  10. They'll play on the fact that Mayweather is much smaller then.

Still won't help Logan Paul against a lifetime of ringcraft. He won't have a clue how to use his size never mind actually using it.

Mayweather will control the range, distance and pace for every second

  11. Anyway, some real boxing is on. Joshua is back out and I would have thought Pulev should be easy work too.

I suppose Pulev stands as much chance as Andy Ruiz but I think Joshua will be 10x better than that first Ruiz fight.

Hopefully a stylish win back to his KO finishes

To be honest I blame the professional boxers in this kind of carry on .  Perhaps they might say 'do you know what, it took a hell of a lot of getting hit and work to get to a point where i was world champion and eventually I made that much money from it I'd struggle to spend it in 3 lifetimes .  Better to have a bit of respect for the sport , people who watch it and those coming through the ranks who hope to have what I have one day and keep it's integrity.  Stick your joke fight up your arse ' .  Wishful thinking I suppose.

Yeah it would be good but Floyd is going to get millions for fighting somebody he wouldn't even let in their gym to train with their prospects.

    Easy money.

Is that for real .  Good god .  I remember when boxing was a proper sport.

It still is but weird little creatures who can't think for themselves will pay $50 to watch their favourite content creator put on some gloves and fight a guy that has decades of fighting experience at the highest level.

    Why?

Because YouTube personality and content creator might land a lucky punch. (Except there's no such thing as a lucky punch of course).

Hopefully there's a WWE Royal Rumble or cage match to watch instead. More real.

As much as a mismatch this obviously is, the amount of money and viewers this brings in is absolutely huge and it brings in a whole new audience too, which is great for the sport. Mayweather's highest PPV numbers was around 5.7m worldwide, KSI vs Logan Paul number 1 got 1.3m (also 1.2m illegal streams) and was the 29th all time highest PPV, so Mayweather vs Logan Paul will surely bring in A LOT too.

All true but I don't know why people watch it. I've got YouTube streamers I watch but I wouldn't watch them box one of the greatest fighters in decades.

I don't get why people are fans of everything a YouTube personality does. For example in gaming theirs a guy called Shroud who is a very successful competitive gamer. He has an army of fans who think he's like a God. The guy couldn't be more ordinary. He's just good at specific video games.

It's really really weird how people can become a fan of someone and not see them just as a star in their field of work.

I would not watch PPV Champions League Final if Tyson Fury was starting up front for Man City. I don't get how it could be anything other than farcical.

I would say wait until someone gets hurt but Floyd will just walk around for bit, take a few shots and then KO him. Just like Connor "comes from a boxing background" Mcgregor who was easy peasy work.

So anyone can just have a PPV fight with anyone in an 'exhibition' now then?

What an absolute farce this is.

    20201206_231612.jpg

And millions will watch it because Floyd will leak an injury rumour or will have a disastrous camp or Logan Paul will do something made up like ko Canelo in training.

Maybe Logan Paul could actually win this you know? Here, take my money!!

Who watches these stupid exhibitions? They're as real as The Rock v Triple H but a lot lot less entertaining.

    Yarde v Arthur last night.

Yarde got exactly what he deserved for doing nothing of note for 9 rounds. I think he forgot he was the challenger.

His corners tactics seemed to consist of saying "lions in the camp" to him.

Billy Joe Saunders the night before looked skillful as ever.

I really dislike BJS but he does put on quite a show when he wants to

Oh, Erroll Spence Jnr back! Good win!!

  17. Hahaha what a week for Frank "I think he's rank 2 with the WBO" Warren

Your bullies are getting found out now. And because you've lined them up easy wins nobody is gonna feel sorry for them. Should have been in proper fights. Yarde was navigated to that Kovalev shot yet turned down British fights with good solid opponents. Where does he go now? Back to the guys he built his rep on?

    Awful matchmaking once again.

Already fought in WBSS with no guards, it's on YouTube. Joyce is effective and better than he looks on the eye.

I've seen that. I still think Usyk wins on points 9/10.

I don't think Usyk will have it all his own way at HW but I don't think Joyce beats the top guys.

Disagree that there is no shame in that - I know it's easy for me to say sat on my sofa with a beer and some nachos but if you have built your brand on fear you can't quit on one knee, you just can't.

If you think Warren is bad, Sam Jones takes the biscuit - talking all over Joyce's post match interviews. Too much mouth by half. He has an East Midlands accent of some descruption, anyone know where he heralds from?

Sam Jones just wants to be Eddie Hearn. Except he rides on the back of fighters rather than having the charisma and charm of an actual good promoter
