The big deal made about the start of the asparagus season by foodies. It is just a rather ordinary tasting bean that seems much more inefficient to grow than a normal bean for which you get loads off a single bush not a single stick.
If it just looked like a normal bean but grew as a stick it would be ignored.

Conor Wickham only 28? He seems to have been around for as long as I have....
always injured though. Otherwise I would say yes…

Suspect it is DCFC doing something odd with extension which had something in it for Marriott (assume it is not a bog standard extra year that was already in original contract as how could they realistically reject that).
This “something in it for Marriott” assume had something negative for someone else (maybe Posh, or maybe all the other 21 championship clubs) and maybe it’s a standard thing that EFL approve all contracts* but it’s a power they never usually wield.
*Or all clubs in special measures.

Next season we need some decent experienced first teamers adding. If Festy and Jordon play lots of games it means we have not got them in = going down down down to China town.

It will make a better game on Friday if the jocko’s lose this as they will have to go for it, which will give our forwards more space..

Jock ing heck.

Wisdom seems to me have improved his game going forward and gone backwards at the back in the last few years.
We used to think of him as reliable goal stopper, but that seems to have slipped so need to get some one better for cheaper (or just as good/bad for cheaper).

Stats in Bolton show that in vaxinated population rate is <=10/100,000 so I think it is fair to say that we just need to complete the vaccine programme and were all good.
This is on assumption that we are going to be a nation that has small amount of corona around in hospitals for ever.
Interested in what places like Australia will end up with. They have been successful in their near zero corona approach but probably it is not sustainable if they want to properly turn their economy back on. Ie the rest of the world will accept it is ok to have some level of transmission without lock down, but know they have some level of herd immunity. Aus needs to convince their population to get to the same place as the rest of the world or end up being semi cut off.

How old is R-K? Could be worth a shout to me...

Maybe get some centre backs and forwards first before the coppers are all used though. Get a new left back with the last tuppance.

If last seasons form was all he has left then good riddance. Connor Salmon was better in all his time with us than Waggys last season.

Will we have enough players to put a team out?

A transfer embargo through most of the summer could cost more points than “the points”. Maybe our foes will push for this.

So as we have very little sellable assets and those who we could sell won’t fetch much cash imo, I will stick with my original hypothesis that we haven’t got a pot to piss.
On another thread we discuss how much Bucannan, Sibley et all are worth. So we do have some...

Been bingeing my way through The Crown recently. Bit late to the party, as I'd thought I'd not enjoy it, but in actual fact, it's really rather good. It's largely very well cast and offers a fascinating, if mildly fictional re-run through modern British and world history.
A surprisingly captivating Asanović out of 10.
I did same and was equally surprised (missus made me watch it initially).
Favourite episode was the one where Prince Charles was at Uni in Wales.

That's still not an appropriate stance for a regulator to have, and effectively that's what the EFL are in terms of the football league. It implies that the relationship between the club and the EFL will change how the rules apply to you.
Would also set a precedent which could impact another club who’s chairman they actually like a bit.
(Suspect EFL Probably dislike Gibson almost as much as Mel as they both seem to be trouble for them)

I am voting mid table based on assumption we will recruit players of that standard between now and end of august.
