Yeah but Leeds and Villa got up With a proper strategy
where were we with MM?
established prem teams now
I think villa strategy was the Derby strategy but without vainest attempt to stay cool on FFP. Absolute ? or bust.
If we had blown more cash on another couple of centre forwards that would have been the villa style strategy.

How many times are EFL (and us) allowed to appeal? Can EFL keep going until the end of time (or we get a 4000 point penalty for the 2038/39 season).

Did we start using the “new” amortisation before the stadium sale occurred?

I think lack of access to quality players is worrying more than who manager is right now. This is more important issue.

Does anybody be it Stevie Mac or Stevie Nics even know what the hell is going on.
Feels like the club is like a leaf blowing round in a strong wind. God only knows what’s happening or going to happen.

I think we (supporters) have more right to consider quitting than Rooney.
Football is our hobby/culture/thing we expect to give us pleasure (some times). If there is no apparent prospect of enjoyment in the near term then why would we masochistically put our self through loads of pain when there could be other things to do?
I expect some people to tell me I live/bleed Derby and would go even if someone hit me with a bat every time I went. Fair play to you in this case.
For me I will need to have some reason to be optimistic to get me to go. I would not go to the cinema if there was only a piece of ?film on.

We were found guilty on one charge by the ‘first panel’ the findings were challenged.
the club has been found guilty and have accepted that they were not clear on the basis of their methodology.the 18th is about the restated accounts not about the guilty verdict
the appeal is to the LAP and their decision cannot be appealed
apart from that you are spot on
The LAP can only be looking at the significance of the accounting irregularity though (not the impact on P&S balance) so a points penalty for that on its own would not seem proportional?
If a big points penalty was assigned for minor (which I think is safe to assume it is based on prior rulings) accounting deviation then it would set a big precedent for other things in the future I would have thought. IE If every time a small accounting problem was found in any other clubs accounts they got points would everyone think that is correct.

Well, if the points deduction was 20/21 and we were relegated then we would start League One on zero points. You wouldn't get relegated and then get a point deduction.
Either way, I'm really not sure what the worst situation is - a season in the Championship in which we're horribly unprepared to partake which would no doubt lead to some really quite distasteful scenes and a lot of the young lads getting hammered by the fans. Ending in almost unavoidable relegation.
OR
A relegation to League One where we are still disgustingly unprepared but with more of a chance of some of our U23s and U18s stepping up to fill gaps. I doubt we would be in the race for promotion but we should be able to keep our League One status. I guess whether we could survive League One financially, with the debts piling up, is another question.
Both are absolutely horrific, but that's where we are - Mel Morris has to go down in our history as one of the worst owners this club has ever had despite his good intentions. The bloody 3 Amigos didn't even put us in a mess this big!

One would expect that if the EFL were going to appeal that (unlike the usual glacial pace at which they work) they must do it quite quickly if they want to get the penalty increased.

There was no Wazza bounce. It was the Bielik factor.
Remove Bielik from Rooney's time in charge and we would be certainly playing league 1 football next season.
No doubt Cocu wasn't great, but we certainly didn't progress under Rooney, we've just gone backwards and have been saved relegation by one man.
Don’t think we have gone backwards. Arguably either stayed the same or small forward step.

I just want to go to the real games. Don’t much care for RamsTV. Not seen hardly any games this year.
If you see several games per month for £25 that does not seem too bad. If it were just one it would be a little pricy considering the football may well be a stinking pile of ????.

I am voting mid table based on assumption we will recruit players of that standard between now and end of august.

The big deal made about the start of the asparagus season by foodies. It is just a rather ordinary tasting bean that seems much more inefficient to grow than a normal bean for which you get loads off a single bush not a single stick.
If it just looked like a normal bean but grew as a stick it would be ignored.

Suspect it is DCFC doing something odd with extension which had something in it for Marriott (assume it is not a bog standard extra year that was already in original contract as how could they realistically reject that).
This “something in it for Marriott” assume had something negative for someone else (maybe Posh, or maybe all the other 21 championship clubs) and maybe it’s a standard thing that EFL approve all contracts* but it’s a power they never usually wield.
*Or all clubs in special measures.
This is why the EFL are gunning for Mel
