Just to add to what I said earlier.

Last season I paid for one game. Blackburn at home.

Obviously we all know how that went.

I was disgusted with that. Players didn't look like they cared or put any effort in.

After that I refused to pay for anymore. I don't see why I should care if the players don't.

I think it everything was normal and I had a season ticket last season. It would have been the final straw for me.

Last season was dire. But I fear this season maybe even worse.

I played for one game also, saw a couple at a mates.

I am with you on nearly all your points.

I am remaining curious about how the next few weeks will pan out on owners, signings, penalty points. If they play out in best possible way for us, my optimistic gland will start throbbing. Otherwise I’m expecting something in between flat out worst champ team by a mile and clinging onto tails of the worst teams to be in the mix still in the last few weeks.

  2. It also depends a bit on future contact situation. You would want promising youngsters like him to not be running down last year. If he has given indication of not resigning then I would be tempted to take best money we can get.

For forest we should send him as secret agent putting laxative in their half time juice when playing us.

  3. As he is still (just) the right side of 30 I doubt he is looking for a short term deal on a few buttons that Jageilka would take (who probably just wants to play as long as poss and recognises he has pocketed most of the dough he is going to earn from playing already)

    Goalkeeper - below average

    full backs - average

centre backs - bad (with free agents) catastrophic (without free agents)

Defensive midfield - good (with Bielik) and below average without Bielik.

    attacking midfield - below average

strikers - bad, as good as CKR can be on his day.

I think if we can sign a couple of good centre backs, similar to Matt Clarke’s level and stay away from injuries then we will stay up. In order to be competitive with the likes of Sheff Utd and Fulham then we would need to improve in every aspect.

Sheff and Fulham I would say are above average for this season.

I think the “average” level is more like Millwall, Stoke, Preston type. This would move a few of the bellow average into average.

Not saying it’s not disappointing to measure our selves at mid table, but we are where we are.

It at least seems like the club are doing something in the background. However, I don't think we have anything to be positive about until we see the actual results from these things that are going on behind the scenes.

We need to be able to put a squad together that can compete at this level. The trialists we have at the club don't allow us to do that, in my opinion. They help the situation, but ultimately until we can put enough players into our squad that will keep us in this division - at the very least - we shouldn't be punching the air in excitement.

I'd imagine they've released this information to stop any discontent at the Betis friendly.

I think the defensive trialists probably bring enough for a mid table side.

Something more needed in forward line to be anything other than relegation battling.

  6. Bad luck B4. Hope they can give you some good meds.

I keep having these strange dreams (hopefully premonitions) that the Rams are going to put up a better than expected show in spite of everything. ??.

The fans like you and everyone else would deserve it if it happened.

  7. Way I see it is if MM extracts some money (let’s say £20m) from one of his business and clears most of the debt, he may then be able to sell for more than the £20m and replace it and be a little better off.

If something like this, does not make sense/add up then admin may be attractive to him where he gets £0?

Presumably as part of admin process (one of the hovering buyers) may quickly pick us up (including playing staff) which could negate the fire sale? As long as the new owner would pay off key debts first.

  8. Huddlestone has earned exactly £0 from playing last season when he could have had some kind of contract from us.

If these trialist are trying to play wages hard ball they are in the wrong place.

The only thing I can think of is that MM wants to offer a lot less than the max allowed and WR and some of current trialist think the goals have shifted.

Hated Savage, hated every second of his time at Derby. I'm sure there were bigger cheats in the game, but yes that was a very depressing time. Could not bring myself to cheer anything about him.

Have to (50%) disagree. First half of his Rams career he was utter shambles but the part of me that likes a redemption story appreciates the last chapter under Clough jr when he becomes one of the most committed players and a consistent performer.

The time when he came on the pitch with his dad was a nice moment.

Over 90% of his career I hated the twit but somehow the last bit sticks with me as the most human part and I like him a little for that bit.
