You would think so. But Rooney in charge, whether brilliant or poor as a manger will always bring media circus, press, marketing ops and general public interest etc. Means a lot to the businessmen. 
He’ll start next season as manager, no doubt in my mind. Whether he lasts the season is another thing all together. 

I honestly don’t think Rooney will be going anywhere. If (and it’s a big if) the takeover goes through, he’ll be tasked with the restructure of the team and getting us back up the table. Regardless of whether you’re in the Rooney in or out camp, no chance he’ll be going anywhere just yet

No chance Roos is to blame here. The initial header is from about 6 yards. He has very little reaction time. You can't seriously believe that he should be doing anything other than getting something behind the ball and making the save in that scenario.

Everyone to his own. A fool and his money and all that but I'll definitely renew regardless. It's been a terrible season (just thank our lucky stars we haven't had to attend) and whilst the two play off finals I've witnessed were painful at the time, there were some good times along the way.
If we go down, I don't for one moment think we'll be a major force in the division but Derby are my team and I'll still be there for the good and bad times to come. 

Have read in a report he can’t sign a pro deal until the summer? Don’t know why this is, but maybe he can only sign a pro-deal at the end of his scholarship?

I imagine after 4 years of different managers sending him out on loan and not starting him he just fancied a new challenge and some consistent football tbh. Nowt like being bitter about a player fancying a change of scene is there? Don’t think you can really hold it against a player wanting the best financial deal available also when they’ve only a few years left before retirement and their income drops drastically. Reckon any of us would do the same. Martin is still a club legend in my eyes. 
But, each to there own and all hey?

? honestly was a post intended to show how we can choose what to believe then bang it out there as fact , difference is I won’t be repeating it over and over again to try to make it stick , some need to be honest with themselves and realise that is what they are doing ,to the detriment of the club , mel, cocu and actually Martin himself as we can never actually just appreciate his time with us

G8 post. I couldn’t agree more. For whatever reason he lost form from Christmas onwards during 15/16, then Pearson shat on him, mac pi$$ed him about, Rowett and Frank shat on him also, then Phil gave him a cameo. Yes club legend in my eyes also. If he hadn’t got injured during the 14/15 campaign he’d have took us up. Arrr well good luck to him.
