So basically you're saying, we just need a draw at home to Reading - a team with nothing to play for - and we make the playoffs?
Sweet, what could be easier than that?

TBF I'm an utter knob. Even I get fed up with me pulling plots apart and pointing out continuity errors.
    I'm worst with trees.
If you expect me to watch a film of yours, you'd better film it over one season or make sure there are no trees (or coniferous trees only) or I'll be pointing out that the last scene was in summer and we're clearly now back in spring.
    It's like a drug.

I saw The Skids at The Limit behind The City Hall, Sheffield in (I think) 79 - but it the tour when Scared to Dance came out. That club wouldn't be allowed now, Richard Jobson was almost kicking the ceiling with his manic goose-stepping-style dancing it was that low and a fire would have killed everybody. The place went mental when they did TV Stars.
About 2 years ago I was at my local gym in a small town just outside Orlando. I spotted a guy in a Skids t-shirt so I had to go and talk to him.
Turns out he was mates with Richard Jobson although he wasn't a fan per se. Had a brilliant chat.
I missed out on seeing The Stranglers in 78  and bitterly regretted after most of my mates went and said it was brilliant.

I've only been to Rebellion once, a couple of years ago. Stranglers and Skids being particular highlights. Only seen SLF once so can't wait to see them again. If it happens.. ?

I'd looked at the event and if I hadn't finally got to see SLF on the 40th anniversary tour of Inflammable Material in Orlando I'd possibly have gone.
Should be fun if it happens.

Anyone gambled on buying gig or festival tickets for this year?
I've bought for Rebellion in Blackpool, Arctangent near Bristol and Moseley Folk in Brum. Was hoping Indietracks in Derbyshire would go ahead but it cancelled early sadly. No indoor tickets bought yet though.

    Yup.
The self made man, the pull yourself up by your bootstraps millionaires usually had to a) take risks and b) work very hard to get there (and thus, always give the advice to take risks and work very hard as if they are the only two factors involved) but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of rich people (and the vast majority of the worlds wealth) are very conservative in their financial risk.
But I'm not rich, will never be rich, work to live and don't live to work and probably not the person to advise you on becoming successful (or rich, or on any footballing matters).

Actually, that's largely an urban myth.
I'm not saying some don't, especially when they start up their ventures often leaving well paid jobs behind.
But by and large, you don't grow massive wealth by taking big risks, you grow it by managing and mitigating risk.
You find the big risk takers in Vegas most of whom end up without a vessel to empty their bladder into.
Having said all that, let's hope this guy is one of the few. And he kinda must be to a certain extent of he's buying us.

Brake checking is dangerous because nobody does it to somebody who they know is a safe distance away.
But I got into an argument with a trucker in a Quora thread on brake checking once after he said if he ran into the back of a car that brake checked him he'd punch the driver out (I'm presuming if it was a guy, but who knows?).
I responded that if he drove at a safe distance he'd not run into the back of somebody brake checking him so he was driving as badly as the other person.
    He threatened me.
So I ran off, deleted my account and changed my name because it's illegal in the US to be a trucker unless you're hard and utterly mental.

I'm sure at the time it must have had plenty of talk on here at some stage, but it was never (to my knowledge) shown in the States, so we're just just catching up with Gomorrah.
When I saw the IMDb reviews I was a bit skeptical with so many 10/10's, but I was wrong to be.
Dark, violent, shocking and absolutely outstanding.
Brilliant acting, tight (if occasionally confusing) script that has you wondering which ducker is going to die next and utterly believable.
Still not quite to the end of season one so no spoilers please!

We binged the first 5 seasons (this is the 6th, right?) just before we moved back when they dropped onto Netflix in the US and yeh you should.
Excellent series with a lot of twists that even when you suspect they are coming you don't see them coming.

    Agreed.
It started off ok, then went to bad, then to awful, then to utterly comical.
I'm pretty sure the director just said to Brian Cranston before evry take 'give me your best Walter White, but make him have a stroke'
I got to the beginning of the 5th episode and just couldn't take any more.

RIP Marvelous Marvin Hagler, one of the true (and I mean true) greats of the sport, participant in what could rightly be considered the greatest fight of all time and as much of a gentleman outside the ring as he was a teak tough warrior inside it. We all have to go sometime but 66 is just too young for someone who had brought so much joy to so many.

Funnily enough we have found it a struggle to watch Your Honor.
Bryan Cranston is still playing Walter White and Michael Stuhlbarg is still playing Rothstein from Boardwalk Empire.
I have stopped believing in it and you're right, the son deserves jail!

I may have to shift from Your Honor to The Terror because it has gone downhill staggeringly quickly.
Loved the start and the premise of Your Honor, but the acting is horrible (even Bryan Cranston now he's gone into crazy mode), the script preposterous and I actually want the kid to get caught he's such an utter moron.
I'm 4 episodes in but not sure I can stomach much more.
