Read a stat that Peterborough haven’t won in 21 games in front of more than 15k fans.
I bet the guy who found that stat is single.

Missed it earlier in the year (last year) but just watched Blue Lights - a 6 parter covering 3 probationers in the Belfast police force. No doubt there are comments back in this thread, but I would recommend for anyone who enjoys Line of Duty type series. Moving on to Kin now which my daughter tells me too is a very enjoyable crime suspense.
Blue Lights was very good, but Kin is better.

I only found out, courtesy of a Radio 5 programme yesterday that Nottingham was originally called Snotengaham.
Around 600 AD, the Snotingas gave their name to the settlements of Nottingham, which were first recorded as 'Snotengaham' or literally 'the homestead of Snot's people. ' Over the years, the city's name was gradually modified until it became known as Nottingham around the 12th century.
How fabulous! I think we should start a petition to have it returned to its much more appropriate and traditional name.

New series of Traitors starts on the Beeb next week hope it can live up to the first series
I hear good stuff about Traitors from a LOT of people and I'm pretty sure it's on iPlayer, but I cannot summon up any enthusiasm to watch it. I'm not at all sure why.

Not a driver I’m afraid Dave. Hence the reliance upon trains.
Have you given your butler that day off? Surely, he could drive you!

Kin on BBC/iplayer. Irish criminal family at war with other criminal gang. 2 episodes in, looks promising.
What did you think?
We're 6 episodes in, and I think it's effing brilliant.
Other than finally finding The Sopranos, It may be the best thing I've watched all year.

Slow Horses is great, due largely to Gary Oldman. I’d love to see Jackson Lamb in Parliament 😊
Is it better than season 2?
I ONLY stuck with that because of how good Oldman was. I can't stand Jack Lowden.
4 episodes into Kin and really starting to like it. Loved the pub shooting scene, it was like it had come straight out of The Sopranos.

Enjoyed "Caroline Aherne - Queen Of Comedy". In parts a carbon copy of every other documentary about anyone in the range of the media in the 1990s but, besides that, showed what a wonderful (if also flawed) woman she was. Missed out some big chunks (e g. her marriage to Hooky) but still a good watch.
I watched the first 45 minutes and was falling asleep, so gave it a miss. I was staying with relatives and couldn't record the end.
Hooky made some serious allegations about her physically abusing him after she died and I was wondering how they would deal with that. Did they just ignore it?

I went live to it, really enjoyed it.
I had tickets for the Manchester gig, but when somebody offered me £450 for the two, I bit their hand off.
I also sold them the tickets.
I think it's always funnier at the event because you're in a room with like-minded people all there to laugh. And laughter is contagious. -
Watched the new Ricky Gervais special last night on Netflix.
If I listed my top 20 comedy specials of all time, I think possibly all of his previous ones would be in there. And Animals and Politics would be in the top 3, but this felt like it was rushed at best and a cash grab at worst.
The material felt old and rehashed, and the constant need to explain himself (Jimmy Carr has started doing this, so maybe on a deeper level they are fearful of being taken literally) was a bit tiring.
There were some funny bits with the cultural appropriation joke very funny and clever, but I'm not sure I need to see him use the handjob action in any more specials. It was very funny the first time and pretty funny the second time, but now it feels/looks more like a metaphor for him milking the Netflix coffers.
I still love the guy and will watch his next one because even comedians have bad days at the office.

It may be that the two bottles of Malbec aren’t helping, but I don’t get it, hic!
Clearly you're not married to a woman who responds with every question about what do you want for dinner with 'I don't know what do you want?'

Anyone else finished both series of Kin?
Great stuff if you like the threat of violence delivered by a talented cast.
Started it last night and it looks promising one episode in.

Watched the first 4 episodes of Suburraeterna the follow up to the excellent Italian crime drama, Suburra.
Crap.
Horrible and distracting soundtrack.
Odious characters all over acting and clumsy, convoluted script.
Very disappointing, made worse by the fact we went from The Sopranos into that steaming pile.

Another one watching the second season! Are you tapping into Irish TV too?
