I only partly agree with pw assessment.
Bielik is better than most of the midfielders we signed in the summer. He would improve the squad.
He's good enough to be going to the world Cup. He's picked up several man of the match awards at Birmingham.

So you've decided the new owner and new manger are going to be useless, on behalf of the club I would like to thank you for your patience and support during this new era.

Becuase there is a clear trend in how a manager has performed after 12 games and how he'll perform in his overall spell in charge. The evidence I've shown proves that.

I don't know why you keep banging on about Rosenior's record. It's disingenuous. The sample size is very small.

Manager appointments are a lottery, i mean Ian Dowie and Gary Megson have promotion to the PL on their cv but it doesn't make them good managers.
Nathan Jones left Luton for Stoke which was a sensible decision but with Stoke's form patchy at best they got rid much to their fans delight. Now he's back at Luton tearing it up and a hot property again.
We were apparently sniffing round Warne in the summer but maybe DC thought the best chance of getting signings in the building was to give LR a chance? Or maybe Warne wasn't interested at the time? However when we appointed Warne he was in demand by championship clubs so clearly it wasn't an illogical move for us to appoint him. Sure, his preferred style is completely different to what we've been used too, but if you get the right manager at the right time that can be the start of a beautiful thing e.g. Mac 1, Bielsa, Cooper.
It's now looking like our eggs might be in the basket for next season. But to be fair how many seasons did it take Leeds, Forest, Sheff Utd etc to get out of this god forsaken league? Clubs of this size don't end up in league 1 off the back of one bad season, its usually down to a lot of bad business off the field for a number of years.
Will Warne be a success? God knows, but I do think Clowes was well within his rights to appoint him.

Why would you spend millions on a football team and give the job full time to a manager with no proper experience.
As the new owner, logic dictates you give the job to the best manager you can get which in derbys case is 3 time league one promotion manager pw.

My personal insomnia at about the same level as this game.
That aside, warne made 3 changes to the previous game against ipswich but kept the same formation, which doesn't appear to be working for him.
Pw comments about ipswich being relegated with most of their younger championship level players in tact as a team, and that all ipswich needed to do was to further strengthen to achieve where they now are, seems a fair comment
Pw admitted that we shouldn't expect promotion this season, as the team needs a complete rebuild, also seems fair.
I wouldn't want to see this team promoted to the championship in its current form, or we would be doing a Rotherham and coming straight back down again.
I think under lr we would've have had a few more wins this season than pw will bring, but that longer term, pw will do what's requires to promote the team.
I criticised lr for doing something similar to pw, by sticking to a formation, but then lr actually changed formation, during a game and won the game.
It's clear to me that Derby don't have the team to make 352 work.
I thimg Pw is getting frustrated that his plans are failing at present, but I can see that he's trying to build a derby strategy.
Strategy building is a science, projects take time and don't always immediately go to plan.
Last season, pw once again promoted Rotherham from league one, he did so with the team in 2nd place, so he knows what it takes to win in this league.
He promoted Rotherham 3x and that team had a much lower budget than derby will have when we eventually get to spend it.

Tonight was rubbish but everything I’ve heard him say makes sense, which heartens me. I don’t think he wants hoofball but he wants to faff around less and be on the front foot. Either got the wrong players or players with the wrong attitude at the mo.  I don’t think this is the group of players to see out his vision, but I think that’s why they’ve gone for the 4 year deal. There’s a long term plan, even if short term it’s not a good fit.

Of course I’m down, who isn’t. That post loss tristesse lasts for at least 3 days. The weight of the world is on your shoulders. We got F all. We want to win every game. The style doesn’t seem great either, it doesn’t seem right that ageing wingers are being asked to cover the whole length of the pitch. Yes some “glooms are to be expected.
Yet .. we lost by one goal, away, to one of the leading teams. We have a new manager with limited resources. There’s a whole lot going on behind the scenes. I don’t think for a minute PW isn’t aware of our weaknesses and doesn’t have a plan to address them.
We need to have some faith and some loyalty. It’s way too early to judge anything. For me, it s on to the next game and quite simply .. come on lads, you can do better. UTR !

The 4 year contract means Warne is here to stay, promotion this season or not. The squad was bundled together in the close season at the last minute with the best we could have signed due to the circumstances. Administration has led to a massive imbalance in the squad, the players are either just out of nappies or heading for the retirement home. Warne is going to need 2/3 windows before we’ll see this team play how he wants to IMO. My worry is with restrictions following into next season it’s going to take even longer to accumulate a capable squad. Yes we have some decent players but we have absolutely zero depth. Patience is going to be key.

We've only played a few games under Warne so we shouldn't jump to conclusions.
The immediate problem in my opinion is the system. We're playing a 352 with players who do not suit the formation. It's square pegs in round holes again. We just look lost at times. To play that system you need proper wingbacks, we don't have any.
He is obviously a good manager, getting a club like Rotherham promoted 3 times isn't luck. The squad we have also has good players. But maybe not the right combination of players at this time for what Warne is trying to do.

I think lr would have got us against port Vale.
However, it's unfair to criticise warne, when he's only 3 matches into managing the club.
It takes time to build the club from players you were not responsible for bringing to the club.
I don't blame the players as that's not the formation they had been playing under lr.
I don't blame warne as he has a lot of experience in promoting clubs from this league.
If you lose a player during a game that for me means, change formation, go defensive, especially if you have a lead over the other team or are level on goal difference.
Losing Collins for 3 matches is not great.

It’s rather inevitable that Warne will get some stick when things go poorly.
He has replaced Rosenior, who had an awful lot of good will still on his side, was universally popular and was doing alright.
As a result, the “cuckoo in the nest“ will have to do better than how Rosenior was perceived to be doing.
The Port Vale match was a game most fans turned up to expecting a win.
My concern is we have changed our style of play and formation, which does not necessarily suit our players - playing forward players as wing-backs leaves us susceptible at the back, meaning we have done a “Morris” by building one team and now needing different players that suit the new managers style better.
I just hope that we stick to one philosophy and don’t go down the new manager route if Warne doesn’t bring immediate success.

It appears crazy to me, that forest spend 150 million on 22 new players and can't get them to work as a team under Steve Cooper.
That they appear to be in greater disarray for once than we are.
While clowes has saved our club and brought a winning team under Warne, and for given us a period a of enjoyable football.
Forest who insulted us multiple times as we almost ceased to exist as team right upto when clowes took over in the summer, and now there are those who would call for us to offer peace flag to forest and respect to Steve Cooper.
I think there are far too many forest fans who hoped for Derby to cease to exist as a team.
I think its a bit cheeky to ask that of Derby fans at present.

His after match comments, tell me that he's both an analytic tactician, and excellent at his job.
He sees where he wants the team to be, and he has a plan to get us there.
His next challenge will be Ipswich, not the next match, I can't see the next match being any thing but a win for Derby.
    Mansfield Town, win for us.
    Port Vale, win for us.
